RM135 Prepaid Modem

  1. How much do I need to pay to purchase the prepaid modem bundle package? What does the prepaid modem bundle includes?

    2. RM135 and the bundled package consist of 7.2Mbps USB modem and 5GB data plan valid for 30 days.
    Before 1 July - The data plan will be activated 30 minutes after successful prepaid registration.
    After 1 July - The data plan will be automatically activated upon successful registration.

  2. What will happen when I use up 5GB data? Will I incur additional charges?

    3. No Sir/Madam, there is no additional charges once you have used up your data allowance. However your speed will be managed to 64kbps for the remaining validity of your data plan.

  3. Where can I purchase the prepaid modem offer?

    4. You can purchase from our UM Service Centre and our appointed dealers. Please refer here.

  4. How do I renew the data plan when it expires?

    5. This package will come with auto renewal mechanism. All you need to do is to ensure you have sufficient airtime for the auto-renewal process to take place. In this case, we will automatically renew MB68 data plan after the initial 30 days expires, provided you have sufficient balance in your account at that point of time.

    Alternatively you can perform top-up airtime and subscribe to prepaid broadband package by dialing *118# or SMS to 28118. Please refer to www.u.com.my for the detailed steps of broadband plan activation.

  5. After my MB68 package expires, can I subscribe to other mobile broadband plan instead?

    6. Yes, you can subscribe to any U Broadband Prepaid plan provided you have cancelled the auto renewal function. 2 days prior to data plan expiry, you will received a SMS to inform you that auto renewal will be performed and you have the option to cancel this service via UMB or send STOP MB68 to 28118.

  6. What happen if my modem is faulty? Is there any warranty?

    7. Yes Sir/Madam, your modem comes with 12 months warranty. Please visit the following Service Centre for replacement.
