Policies, Terms & Conditions

  1. The iPhone SE with complimentary GoInsure 3 Campaign (“Campaign”) is organized by U Mobile Sdn. Bhd Registration No. 199101013657 (223969-U) (“U Mobile”) which will commence at 10:00:00 on 14th May 2020 and end at 23:59:00 on 31st July 2020 (“Campaign Period”).

  2. By participating in this Campaign, you agree to be bound by the Website Policy and Online Store terms of use and all the terms and conditions below (“Terms and Conditions”).

  3. Campaign Eligibility

    1. This Campaign is open to eligible existing and new U Mobile subscribers.

    2. This Campaign is available in all U Mobile Service Centres, authorized U Mobile Dealers and U Mobile Online Store (https://www.u.com.my/store (“U Mobile channels”).

  4. Campaign Mechanics

    1. To participate in this Campaign, you must:

      1. Sign up iPhone SE bundled with the Unlimited Hero Postpaid P139 plan (“Device Bundle”) via any of U Mobile channels during the Campaign Period; and

      2. Remit the relevant charges for the registration during the Campaign Period.

    2. For new subscribers, you are required to sign up for new Device Bundle plan.

    3. For eligible existing subscribers, you are allowed to perform Change of Rate Plan (CRP) to sign up for the Bundle Device plan.

  5. Reward – Complimentary 24 months GoInsure 3 for iPhone SE with Unlimited Hero Postpaid P139

    1. When you complete the steps listed in paragraph 4(a) above, you will be entitled to receive 1 complimentary coverage for GoInsure 3 which is valid for a period of 24 months (“Complimentary GoInsure 3”), provided that you:

      1. Have an active Device Bundle plan for 24 months. “Active” means able to make and receive calls.

      2. Have a valid MyKad/MyPR; and

      3. Are between the age of 18 to 70.

    2. Upon activation of the Device Bundle, you must register for the GoInsure 3 plan during the Campaign Period via the designated web portal at https://goinsure3.cpa-umobile.com/?lang=EN&lang=EN.

    3. The Complimentary GoInsure 3 coverage period will follow the activation date of Device Bundle.

      1. If you have registered for the 1-month Complimentary Premium GoInsure 3 insurance (existing GoInsure 3 Complimentary Premium insurance promotion) prior to the activation of the Device Bundle, you will be entitled to enjoy up to 24 months coverage period of Complimentary GoInsure 3 following the activation date of the Device Bundle.

      2. If you have registered for the Complimentary GoInsure 3 after the activation of the Device Bundle, you will be entitled for the remaining months of Complimentary GoInsure 3 coverage period based on Device Bundle activation date and period.

      3. As an illustration:
        You purchase the Device Bundle plan on 22 May 2020, however you only register for the GoInsure 3 on 22 August 2020 (3 months later), in this instance you will be entitled to receive Complimentary GoInsure 3 for the remaining coverage period of 21 months.

    4. The Complimentary GoInsure 3 will be reflected in your Postpaid bill statement as “Rebate”.

    5. The Complimentary GoInsure 3 will be suspended if you terminate or downgrade the Device Bundle plan. Upon suspension, the GoInsure 3 premium charge (RM3) will be applicable and will be charged to your U Mobile registered Postpaid account.

    6. You can cancel or terminate the Complimentary GoInsure 3 via the GoInsure 3 designated portal. More information is available at https://www.u.com.my/extras/digital-financial-services/goinsure3

    7. GoInsure 3 is underwritten by Chubb Insurance Malaysia Berhad (“Chubb”) subject to the applicable terms and conditions imposed by Chubb which are available at https://www.chubb.com/my-en/campaign/goinsure.aspx. U Mobile makes no representations nor warranties on GoInsure 3. Chubb is a general insurer licensed under the Financial Services Act 2013 and regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia.

  6. General

    1. U Mobile’s decisions on any matter relating to this Campaign are final and binding on all participants. If any matters arise which are not covered in these Terms and Conditions, they will be determined solely by U Mobile.

    2. U Mobile may change any of these Terms and Conditions including terminating or suspending this Campaign and extending the Campaign Period. Any such change will be announced on our website. It is the participant’s responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions on our website and if the participant do not agree to any of the changes, they must immediately cease participation in the Campaign.

    3. All rewards are accepted entirely at the risk of the participants. To the extent permitted by law, U Mobile excludes all liability in connection with this Campaign. All participants agree to release U Mobile from and indemnify U Mobile against all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, for loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) or breach of any of these Terms and Conditions; whether direct or indirect, special or consequential arising out of participation in this Campaign.

    4. By participating in the Campaign, all participants: -

      1. consent for U Mobile to collect, record, hold, store, use and disclose their personal information for purposes which are necessary or related to the participation in the Campaign; and

      2. consent for U Mobile to disclose or publish their personal information such as their names and identities and any general information that U Mobile sees fit about the participants in any media, marketing or advertising materials; and grant U Mobile the absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and publish any still or moving images of the participants for any promotional, marketing, commercial or other related purpose, without any payment or compensation.

    5. The subscription and use of U Mobile’s Postpaid mobile services are subject to U Mobile’s standard Postpaid Terms and Condition and where applicable, these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions, the Website Policy and Online Store terms of use and the Postpaid Terms and Conditions, the conflict will be resolved in the following order:

      1. the Postpaid Terms and Conditions;

      2. the Website Policy and Online Store terms of use; and

      3. these Terms and Conditions.

    6. In the event of any inconsistency, U Mobile’s standard Postpaid Terms and Conditions, as the case may be, will apply to the extent of such inconsistency.

    7. The Campaign and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The participants agree that the Courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over all matters arising from this Campaign.
