  3. Can I buy a booster plan even before I exceed volume quota of my data plan?
  4. Yes, you can purchase booster plan even before exceeding the volume quota of your data plan.

  5. Can Booster plan be used in U3G and DR area?
  6. Yes, Booster plan can be used in both U3G and DR.

Eligibility

  1. What sort of data plans can have Booster?
  2. The data plans can buy booster are as follows:

    • Prepaid with Broadband Plan (MB15, MB40, MB68, MB128)
    • Postpaid with Broadband Plan (UB10, UB20, UB40, UB68, MB15, MB40, MB68, MB128)
    • UBSIM with Broadband Plan (UB20, UB40, UB68, MB40, MB68, MB128)
    • Prepaid with Unlimited Mobile Internet

    Subscriber with MB Day cannot buy a booster.

Price & Validity

  1. How much is a Booster Plan?
  2. Prepaid subscriber pays RM10 for 1GB with 3-day validity period.

    Postpaid and UBSIM subscribers pay RM10 for 1.5GB with a 3-day validity period.

  3. If I buy Booster plan on the 29th day of MB40 or UMI plan, will my Booster expire on the 30th day of MB40 plan?
  4. The booster plan’s validity period is independent of the MB40 or UMI plan. You still have 3 days validity period for the Booster Plan.

  1. I am a broadband subscriber. How do I buy a Booster via UMB?
  2. Dial *118#, then select "UBroadband", and choose "Booster"

  3. I am a UMI subscriber. How do I buy a Booster via UMB?
  4. Dial *118#, then select "Mobile Services", select "Unlimited Mobile Internet", and choose "Purchase Booster"

  5. What is the SMS command to buy Booster?
  6. Type ON BOOST and send to 28118. Or Type ON BT and send to 28118.

  7. Can I buy a Booster without a data plan?
  8. No, you are not able to buy a Booster without first having a data plan, e.g. Unlimited Mobile Internet or MB40 Plan.

  9. Can I buy a few Booster Plans at the same time?
  10. No, you are not able to buy another Booster should your current Booster quota is not exhausted first. Please finish up your current Booster quota before buying a new Booster Plan.

Data Consumption

  1. When I have a Booster and data plan, which data volume will be consumed first?
  2. Your Booster Plan volume will be consumed first and then followed by your data plan.

  3. What happens to un-used data allowance from booster plan? Can it be rolled over?
  4. Booster volume can’t be rolled over. It has to be used up within three (3) days and after that, its unused data balance will be forfeited.

  1. I am a broadband subscriber. How do I check data used for booster plan?
  2. UMB: Dial *118#, then select "UBroadband", and select "Check Usage".

    SMS: Type "DATA" and send to 28118.

  3. I am a UMI subscriber. How do I check data used?
  4. UMB: Dial *118#, then select "Mobile Services", choose "Unlimited Mobile Internet", and select "Check Usage"

    SMS: Type "DATA" and send to 28118.

Deactivation

  1. Can I de-activate my Booster plan?
  2. No, you are not able to deactivate the booster plan.

Notifications

  1. What type of notifications will I receive for my Booster Plan?
  2. Subscriber will receive four types of SMS notifications:-

    • 90% of threshold for booster
    • 100% of threshold for booster
    • 12 hours prior to expiry of booster
    • Expiry of booster

Data Plan & Speed Fallback

  1. What is the data speed after the 3 days Booster validity is over?
  2. The data speed will fall back to the original plan that the subscriber is on, e.g. if he is on PAYU, then he will be on download speed up to 42Mbps.

    If the original plan is MB40 and exceeded FUP quota, then the speed is throttled.
