What is Unlimited Mobile Internet?

Unlimited Mobile Internet is a prepaid subscription service for internet on your mobile phones.

This mobile internet plan comes with free airtime and sms. The subscription price is RM28 / 30 days. Your USIM must remain active in order to enjoy this bundle.

Who can activate Unlimited Mobile Internet?

All U mobile prepaid users may activate this bundle, except U Broadband service subscribers.

If I am a U Broadband user, can I activate this plan?

No. This service is not for U Broadband users.

How do I activate Unlimited Mobile Internet Plan?

  • STEP 1 - Dial *118#
  • STEP 2 - Select 3 for ‘Mobile Services’
  • STEP 3 - Select 1 for ‘Unlimited Mobile Internet’
  • STEP 4 - Select 1 to ‘Subscribe / Langgan’

Please ensure a balance of RM28 in your prepaid account for successful activation.

What is the validity of this plan? How do I calculate the subscription and renewal period?

Subscription begins on your service activation date and will be renewed automatically at the end of 30 days.

How do I check my usage and balance?

  • STEP 1 - Dial *118#
  • STEP 2 - Select 3 for ‘Mobile Services’
  • STEP 3 - Select 1 for ‘Unlimited Mobile Internet’
  • STEP 4 - Select 2 to ‘Check Usage / Semak Baki’

How do I check my plan's validity?

Please dial #118, select Unlimited Mobile Internet and choose 'check balance'.

What is the value included in this bundle?

For RM28, you will be given 100 mins of talk time & 30 sms. These may be utilized for calls to any network, anywhere in Malaysia (except for special numbers ie 1800 numbers).

What happens if I exceed my allotted 100 minutes of voice calls? Am I still able to make calls?

Your outgoing calls will be charged at U Mobile's standard prepaid tariff. Alternatively, you may also renew your unlimited mobile internet plan to start enjoying free talk time again.

What happens if I exceed my free SMS? Am I still able to send messages?

Your sms will be charged at U Mobile's standard prepaid tariff. Alternatively, you may also renew your unlimited mobile internet plan to start enjoying free sms again.

What will happen if I exceeded my data allowance within the validity period, are there any charges for additional usage?

There will be not additional charges. Fair Usage Policy applies - Your speed will be throttled to 64kbps upon exceeding 500MB.

How would I know if I had exceeded my quota?

You will receive a SMS notification when you have exceeded the allotted quota. Alternatively, you may check your balance by dialing *118#.

Will my subscription be terminated automatically at the end of the 30 days?

No. The Unlimited Mobile Internet plan is an automatically renewable subscription. It is renewed every 30 days (subject to a minimum balance of RM28 in you prepaid account).

What happens to my unused voice minutes and sms when the subscription automatically renews?

Your unused balance will be rolled over to your new bundle along with a new validity date, however the entire bundle can only withhold 200 mins and 60 sms at any point in time. Any excess of which will be forfeited.

Will I be notified of my successful or failed monthly auto-renewal?

Yes. You will receive a SMS notification on your subscription status.

What happens if it fails to auto-renew?

The subscription fails to automatically renew in the event of insufficient balance / prepaid validity.

The system will only attempt to renew the subscription again on the following day.

What will happen if the renewal retry fails on its second attempt (to renew the services)?

Your subscription service will automatically unsubscribe & any unused balance will be forfeited.

What will happen to my unused balance if the auto renewal fails but managed to renew the subscription on its second attempt?

Your used balance (voice and SMS) will be frozen when the auto-renewal fails. Any outgoing call or SMS made during this period will be charged as per our standard prepaid tariff.

If the system manages to renew your subscription on its second attempt, your unused balance will be released for roll-over to the new bundle. The maximum capping on allowable balance will still apply.

Please do note that rollover of data/ internet is not possible as it is unlimited in its terms.

Can I de-active this subscription service?

Yes. Please call our Customer Service Representatives at 1318 to unsubscribe from this plan.

Alternatively, you may deactivate this subscription through the USSD Menu Browser at *118#.

Deactivation of service will terminate the subscription plan immediately; unused balance will be cleared when your Unlimited Mobile Internet service expired.

Will I receive a SMS reminder before my subscription is due for the monthly renew?

Yes. You will receive SMS notifications before your auto-renewal is due, and another SMS when your subscription is renewed.

I have some freebies (Voice, SMS & Data) in my prepaid account. Which bucket will be utilized first?

Unlimited Mobile Internet will take precedence, followed by other freebies.

Is there a limit on how many times I can activate this plan?

No. there is no limit on the number of times you can activate.

Why didn't my activation go through?

Please ensure a minimum credit balance of RM28, in order to successfully subscribe for Unlimited Mobile Internet.

I managed to subscribe to Unlimited Mobile Internet, however I'm not able to utilize my data service?

You must have at least 5 sen residual in your account balance (after subscribing to this plan) in order to enjoy the data facility.

May I use this internet service while roaming domestically?

Yes, you may use the internet service outside of the 3G zone / Domestic Roaming. Edge's speed will be assigned.

Why doesn't my mobile internet service work while Domestically Roaming / non-3G zone?

Please ensure Data Roaming is enabled in your phone settings.
