Dear Customer,

In line with current industry practice, please note that we are amending Clause 13 of our U Broadband Postpaid Terms and Conditions by replacing it with the following:

"Your monthly data charges will be prorated in the first month of activation up to the end of the first billing period. Thereafter, your monthly data charges are payable for each full monthly billing period in advance. Even if the Service is terminated before the end of your billing period your monthly data charges will not be pro-rated."

This amendment takes effect immediately.

We will be changing the way we charge the access fees for Postpaid Broadband subscribers starting January 2012. What this means is that you will be charged for the service at the beginning of the month instead of the current practice of paying at the end of the month. There is no change to the charges and they will continue to remain unchanged.

For existing customers, please note that your January Bill will reflect Advance Charges for the next month plus the Previous Month Charges that have already been incurred. However from February onwards, only the Advance Charges for the next month will be reflected in your bill.

This is a one-time exercise only to ensure we comply with current industry practice. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

In accordance with the latest industry practice where customers will have to pay for the Broadband service before the usage starts, U Mobile will be collecting a 1-month advance access fee for all Postpaid Broadband registrations. The Advance Access Fee will be reflected in the existing & new subscriber’s bill statement from Jan 2012 onwards

As communicated on 2 November, we will be giving FREE SMS all day to all operators in Malaysia on 10 November 2011.

For monthly data package users, you will receive an additional FREE 500MB a month, starting from 10 Nov 2011 until 31 Jan 2012.

U Mobile would like to sincerely apologize for the service disruption you experienced on Monday, 31 October.

As shared on our Facebook page later that evening, this outage was caused by an unexpected glitch during the upgrading of our high speed network. While the service is back to normal, we would like to express our sincere apology, by giving FREE SMS all day to all operators in Malaysia on 10 November 2011, 10 December 2011 and 10 January 2012. In addition, if you are a monthly data package user, you will receive additional FREE 500MB monthly starting from 10 Nov 2011 to end of Jan 2012.

We know that this does not compensate for the inconvenience caused by service disruption but we do hope it will go some way to rebuild your trust in U Mobile. As we have always stated, you always come first.

The Statistics Department will be launching The Household use of the Internet Survey 2011, Saturday 15 October 2011 at SKMM CATI CENTRE, WISMA PAHLAWAN Kuala Lumpur.

The survey period is from 15 October 2011 until 31st December, 2011. Canvassing begin from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm on weekdays / weekends and public holidays.

The survey will be conducted entirely through the telephone.

Effective 21 January 2011, our new data Pay As You Use (PAYU) rate is charged at 5 sen/MB instead of 1 sen/kB. It is applicable to both postpaid and prepaid plans.

This means U Broadband subscribers who have exhausted the data allowance for UB6, UB10, UB20, or UB40, the PAYU rate of 5 sen/MB will apply.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has notified the public on the opening of a new mobile prefix “011” with eight-digit telephone number effective on 15 December 2010, eg 011 xxxxxxxx.

The existing prefixes for public cellular numbers accompanied with seven-digit subscriber numbers will continue to be used.
