Chiat first joined U Mobile in March 2017 as our Chief Financial Officer and transitioned to becoming our Chief Corporate Officer on 1 September 2023. Previously, she was with StarHub Group for 18 years, holding various roles overseeing areas such as operational financial controls and advocacy of financial disciplines. She is an accountancy graduate from the National University of Singapore.
Life At U Mobile
Chiat’s U Mobile journey has been an exciting one as she has seen the company grow and evolve through the years. When she first joined us, her desire was to build a world-class finance team to support the company to reach its goals. During her time as our CFO, U Mobile achieved various finance-related milestones, such as securing a RM1 billion credit facility in 2018, bolstering our reputation as a trusted partner in the financial community. Chiat’s expertise, foresight and passion will be instrumental in her new role as CCO, where she will be working closely with our CEO on business transformation, business strategy and special projects.
Personal Outlook
Chiat asserts that integrity is a critical value that needs to be upheld to the tee. She says, “It’s all about integrity – in words, actions, and in thought processes. Stand your ground, know your boundaries and honour your values.” On her days off, Chiat can be found whipping up a storm in the kitchen for family or binging on a good K-drama series!
