GoPayz Partners Tulus Digital, Enabling Its E-Wallet To Offer The Most Number Of States For Online Zakat Payment

Kuala Lumpur, 27 April 2022 – GoPayz, the standalone universal e-wallet developed by U Mobile, has partnered up with Tulus Digital (Tulus), an Islamic social finance fintech company, to enable Muslims to securely and conveniently pay their zakat online via the GoPayz e-wallet for 6 new states. They are Kelantan, Johor, Perlis, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah and Sarawak and users may already access the service via the GoPayz app.

 

“GoPayz is delighted to be able to partner with Tulus Digital, a trusted and syariah-compliant platform, to make it easier and more convenient for Muslims to fulfil their zakat obligations. We are all about making digital services accessible and with this partnership our Muslim users can pay zakat to almost every state in Malaysia online, anytime, anywhere, securely.” said Jasmine Lee, Chief Digital Officer of U Mobile.

 

According to Tulus Digital’s Executive Chairman, Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar, “Digital financial inclusion is an integral part of the Tulus Islamic social finance strategy and this partnership with GoPayz will also enable Tulus to introduce the GoPayz e-wallet payment method into the Tulus ecosystem. To use this feature, users simply need to tap on the Islamic Services option in the GoPayz app and users will be guided through the process. Users can complete their zakat payments in three easy steps.

 

  • Step 1: Go to GoPayz Islamic Services and Select a Zakat Type
  • Step 2: Fill In Your Details
  • Step 3: Select Payment Mode

 

With this latest addition, GoPayz will now offer a total of 12 states’ zakat collection centres for their Muslim users to pay zakat online. This makes the GoPayz e-wallet the one with the greatest number of states’ zakat collection centres available for online payment in Malaysia. The complete list of states’ zakat collection centres available on GoPayz include Perak, Kedah, Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan), Pulau Pinang, Pahang, Kelantan, Johor, Perlis, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah and Sarawak.
