U Mobile Introduces Ultra Unlimited Wireless Broadband Plans From As Low As RM48, Catering To Digital Learning And Working Needs

Kuala Lumpur, 11 March 2021 - U Mobile has introduced a new range of Unlimited plans specific to Wireless Broadband in response to customers’ changing connectivity needs. Called Ultra Unlimited Wireless Broadband, it consists of four plans starting from as low as RM48 for the WB48 Study Plan. There’s also a WB68 Work Plan, WB88 Work & Play Plan and WB128 Max Plan.

 

Depending on the subscription, customers stand to enjoy unlimited data when using selected apps as well as an allocated monthly data quota that may be used for all other purposes. For example, the WB68 Work Plan offers unlimited data for learning and productivity apps like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Office 365 apps; it also comes bundled with 30GB of data for all other uses. As for the WB88 Work & Play Plan, it not only offers unlimited data for the learning and productivity apps, it also provides unlimited data for apps like Shopee, Lazada, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Garena Call of Duty: Mobile and Garena Free Fire. On top of that, the WB88 Work & Play Plan also comes bundled with 50GB of data.

 

Jasmine Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of U Mobile shared the rationale of Ultra Unlimited Wireless Broadband. “U Mobile is committed to help Malaysians unleash their unlimited potential by making quality connectivity affordable. Apart from being really affordable, these plans are also very accessible as you can subscribe via our online store as well. These new plans offer customers tremendous ease as it is truly a plug-and-play solution with no contract or home installation required. Customers may just subscribe, connect to a MiFi modem, and they are ready to go online!”

 

She adds, “U Mobile is also delighted to say that despite more pressure on our network in March 2020 during MCO 1.0, based on independent findings released in late 2020, our customers’ download speed experience with us actually improved by September 2020, recording almost double the speeds pre-MCO 1.0. That is possible as we have continued to focus on network expansion and upgrades to ensure our customers get quality and stable connectivity.”

 

To give customers a chance to experience the new Ultra Unlimited Wireless Broadband plans, the telco is giving a 50% discount on the monthly fees of WB68 Work Plan, WB88 Work & Play Plan and WB128 Max Plan for all new and existing U Mobile customers* who are subscribed to Giler Unlimited GX68, Unlimited HERO P79, P99 or P139 postpaid plans. Customers will be able to enjoy this discount for 24 months. This means that eligible customers will get to enjoy the benefits of the WB88 Work & Play Plan for just RM44 monthly for a period of two years. This promotion starts on 11 March 2021 and will run for a limited time only.
