Barcelona, 4 March 2026 – U Mobile, Malaysia’s newest 5G network provider, has been named the Fastest 5G Network in Malaysia for its network performance in Q3 and Q4 2025 by Ookla, the global leader in network intelligence.
The Ookla Speedtest Award recognises U Mobile for delivering the fastest 5G speeds nationwide, based on real-world user tests conducted in the second half of 2025. Using Ookla’s proprietary Speed Score methodology measuring download and upload speeds alongside loaded latency performance to achieve the overall highest score, the award reflects the actual ULTRA5G experiences of consumers and enterprises on U Mobile’s next gen 5G network, which is engineered with 5G-Advanced technologies including 64 Transmitters and 64 Receivers (64T64R) and Extremely Large Antenna Array (ELAA) for expansive coverage, high capacity, and consistent, low-latency performance.

This latest recognition reflects the strength of U Mobile’s 5G infrastructure investments. The rollout remains ahead of schedule, with 80% coverage of populated areas (CoPA) targeted by the second half of 2026.
