Kuala Lumpur, 7 May 2021 – From 7 May 2021, eligible Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) recipients will be able to opt for free devices with a bundle, or subsidised data plans as part of the telco’s Jaringan PRIHATIN programme offering.

For the device bundles, depending on the eligibility of the customer, they can look forward to having smartphones such as Samsung A02, RealMe C11, Samsung A02s and Oppo A54 being bundled as part of their plan for free. They may also opt to purchase a Lenovo Tab M10 HD (Gen 2) tablet for as low as RM249. Full details of the device bundle offerings are as listed in the table below.

For the subsidised data plans, customers may look forward to paying as low as RM15 per month for a year for the Giler Unlimited GX30 prepaid plan. U Mobile has a range of data plans with unlimited data and additional data for hotspot that customers can redeem with their subsidy, information of which is listed below:

To sign up for U Mobile’s Jaringan PRIHATIN programme offering, new and existing customers who qualify will need to follow the following steps:

Step 1:

Visit u.com.my/prihatin to check eligibility and register for Jaringan PRIHATIN programme. Customers may also register via the MyUMobile app or via U Mobile’s self-care portal on www.u.com.my. Please ensure you register before 31 July 2021.

Step 2:

Once successfully registered, customers may choose between device or data plan subsidy

Step 3:

a) Customers who select device plan subsidy will receive a device subsidy code via SMS and may visit selected U Mobile stores or dealers to redeem the device of their choice. Please note that device plan subsidies must be redeemed before 31 July 2021, after which the device plan subsidy will be converted to a data plan subsidy instead.
b) Customers who select data plan subsidy will get RM15 credited to their U Mobile account monthly for 12 months or up to 31 July 2022, whichever comes first.

As part of Jaringan PRIHATIN programme, U Mobile will also be offering an additional 2GB of high-speed data for 1 hour every day to all customers who have successfully signed up for an eligible device bundle or subscribed to an eligible data plan that is part of U Mobile’s successfully registered under Jaringan PRIHATIN programme offering. To enjoy this free 2GB of high-speed data customers will have to go to MyUMobile app to redeem or send an SMS with “FREE2GB” to 28111 at no additional SMS charge.
