Strategic Navigator. ICT Veteran. Fan of the Ocean.
The Essentials
Kenneth was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of U Mobile in March 2025, but his journey with the company began long before that. As a founding director of U Mobile, he has been instrumental in shaping its strategic direction since inception, securing the company’s 3G license that led to its growth trajectory. With 30 years of experience in the ICT and Internet industry, Kenneth brings a wealth of expertise in business strategy, regulatory affairs, and stakeholder engagement. In addition to his role as DCEO, he continues to serve as a Director on the board of U Mobile, a position he has held since 2006. Kenneth holds a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.
Life At U Mobile
Kenneth’s leadership has been key to U Mobile’s evolution, and as DCEO, he will play an even more critical role in ensuring the company remains agile, forward thinking and innovative as it pivots to become Malaysia’s 5G network facilities provider. As DCEO, he oversees Regulatory, Business Strategy, Communications and Sustainability, whilst engaging in strategic stakeholder management as the company navigates an ever-evolving telco landscape.
Personal Outlook
Kenneth counts integrity and accountability as key values that guide both his professional and personal life. Beyond U Mobile, Kenneth is also the Founder and Executive Director of Web Commerce Communications Limited and Qinetics Solutions Sdn Bhd. When he’s not in the office, Kenneth finds his own space in the water. A passionate freediver and open water marathon swimmer, he believes the ocean teaches resilience, focus, and the ability to adapt—qualities that also define his approach to leadership and innovation. Whether in business or in the water, his philosophy remains the same: Carpe Diem—give it your best, make it worthwhile. “The sense of achievement after seeing your hard work pay off is motivating, much like the feeling of first breath after a long hold. Addictive.”
