General

  1. Phone Bundle or Standalone Service

    1. These Unlimited HERO P99 and P139 Postpaid Plans are available as a bundled service with a smartphone (P99 or P139 Phone Bundle) or as a stand-alone service (P99 or P139) and is supplied according to the Terms of Service in our Postpaid Sign-Up Form, which includes our Privacy Policy. These additional terms and conditions and any add-on services such as voice or SMS Postpaid Add-on Packs are governed by separate terms and conditions (collectively, the Terms), all of which are available on www.u.com.my.

    2. You can use P99 or P139 via smartphones only and no other devices, such as a MiFi and USB dongle. However, your Share 20 member line(s) under P99 or P139 can be used via MiFi or USB dongle. We may from time to time change the device requirements for P99 or P139 at our absolute discretion.

  2. Voice

    1. The voice service applies to domestic mobile, domestic fixed on-net and off-net usage and excludes video calls, MMS, International Direct Dial (IDD), International Roaming, Voicemail (1311) or calls to special numbers/premium numbers (namely 1300 / 1500 / 1508 / 1600 / 1700 / 1900 / 103 and 800).

    2. You must only use the voice service strictly as part of normal everyday mobile voice usage and not for commercial use. P99 or P139 shall not be:

      1. re-sold, rented or utilised in any other way;

      2. used for multiple simultaneous calling, conference calling, re-supply, call centre usage, telemarketing, application-to-person communication, continuous calling for extended period of time, auto-dialling, machine-to- machine communication;

      3. used for wholesale or for SIM boxing or aggregate minutes on our network;

      4. used in connection with a device, software or application which re-routes calls;

      5. used to set up switch devices which could keep a line open potentially for hours and limiting the ability of other customers to access our network; or

      6. used for any other activity that U Mobile considers to be non-standard usage.

    3. In addition to our other rights and remedies, we may suspend or terminate your P99 or P139 if you breach any of the Terms.

  3. Data

    1. Peer-to-peer (P2P) usage for P99 or P139 is up to 64kbps.

    2. When there is a network failure, your normal (non-hotspot) data usage may inadvertently be deducted from your mobile hotspot quota. You acknowledge the possibility of this happening and agree not to hold us liable.

    3. Data is only applicable for domestic usage and will not be available when you are roaming overseas.

  4. Share 20 member lines

    You may subscribe up to 3 Share 20 member lines under P99 or P139. The data quota for sharing with Share 20 member line(s) will be drawn from the Mobile Hotspot/Data-Sharing bucket. After the data quota from the Mobile Hotspot/Data Sharing bucket is fully utilised, data speed will be managed.

  5. U Mobile prepaid upgrade to P99 or P139

    If you are an existing U Mobile prepaid customer and you switch to P99 or P139, you may retain your phone number. Any content subscription services which were part of your previous prepaid plan will be automatically terminated and any remaining or unused SMS, voice minutes or data allowance to which you are entitled under the previous prepaid plan will be forfeited. However, any credit remaining, up to a maximum value of RM100, may be carried over to P99 or P139 to offset your subsequent bill payments. Any credit balance exceeding the sum of RM100 will automatically be forfeited.

Monthly Fee/Advance Access Fee

  1. You must pay the Monthly Fee in full even if you do not use P99 or P139 to the full value of the service for the month, and no part of the Monthly Fee will be carried over to the following months. Any usage exceeding the Monthly Fee will be billed to you on monthly basis. Monthly Fee may be used interchangeably with Access Fee or Monthly Access Fee in www.u.com.my or in your bill.

  2. Charges for all other services not listed in Table A above, such as IDD and International Roaming will not be deducted from the Monthly Fee and will be charged separately in addition to the Monthly Fee.

  3. The Advance Access Fee (which is the amount equal to the Monthly Fee) is charged in advance to your account and will be shown in your first month’s bill. If you do not pay any of your bills by the due date, this Advance Access Fee may be used to offset any outstanding charges. Upon such offset, you are required to pay an additional amount to make up for any shortfall in the Advance Access Fee, so that the full amount of the Advance Access Fee is maintained at all times. Any remaining balance of the Advance Access Fee will be refunded to you without interest if P99 or P139 is terminated after all outstanding charges have been settled.

  4. Upon activation of P99 or P139:

    1. your subscription of any voice Postpaid Add-on Pack on your previous U Mobile rate plan will be terminated. You will be charged the full monthly charges of the Postpaid Add-on Pack and any unused quota on the earlier voice Postpaid Add-on Pack will be forfeited without any refund.

    2. if you have previously subscribed to any SMS Postpaid Add-on Pack, you will be re-subscribed to the same SMS Postpaid Add-on Pack. The re-subscribed SMS Postpaid Add-on Pack will have a refreshed quota and will be valid until the last day of your bill cycle and any unused quota from the earlier SMS Postpaid Add-on Pack will be forfeited without any refund. You will be charged with the full charges for the SMS Postpaid Add-on Pack:

      1. for the previous subscription on your previous U Mobile rate plan; and

      2. for the renewed subscription on P99 or P139.

  5. All prices stated in these Terms are exclusive of all current and future taxes and other similar charges such as service tax, goods and services tax, sales tax and value added tax that may be imposed by any authority.

P99 or P139 Phone Bundle

    1. All P99 or P139 Phone Bundle subscribers are required to pay an upfront payment and device price upon sign up. The upfront payment will vary depending on the device model that you have chosen as shown in www.u.com.my.

    2. For Non-Malaysian citizens, a deposit of RM500 is required to be paid upon sign up, in addition to the upfront payment and device price. When P99 or P139 is terminated, this deposit will be refunded free of interest after all outstanding charges have been paid.

  1. Once you have paid the upfront payment upon sign up, that upfront payment will then be reflected as a monthly rebate in your monthly bills throughout the Subsidy Period of 24 months from your first bill, subject to the bill cycle.

  2. The upfront payment will be waived if at the time you register for the P99 or P139 Phone Bundle, you have fulfilled the upfront payment waiver criteria set by U Mobile. Eligibility of upfront payment waiver is solely at U Mobile’s own discretion.

  3. If you terminate the P99 or P139 Phone Bundle or change to another rate plan at any time within the Subsidy Period, the following will apply:

    1. For subscribers who are not entitled to the upfront payment waiver and have paid for the upfront payment, your remaining monthly rebate will be forfeited.

    2. For subscribers who are entitled to the upfront payment waiver and no upfront payment is required to be made, you are required to refund the balance of the device subsidy amount. The device subsidy amount is equivalent to the upfront payment amount. The balance of device subsidy will be calculated as follows:
      Device subsidy amount / Subsidy Period x remaining numbers of months.
      The remaining number of months will be deemed to include the month during which you terminated the P99 or P139 Phone Bundle.

  4. All claims relating to your smartphone, which is part of the P99 or P139 Phone Bundle and which are covered by the warranty, if any, should be referred to the relevant manufacturer. We do not provide any warranty claim on any device.

  5. U Mobile may block or restrict the use of the device during the Subsidy Period if:

    1. U Mobile suspects that you have committed fraud;

    2. U Mobile finds that you have committed fraud; or

    3. despite our reminders, you have failed to remit the Monthly Fees of your chosen rate plan for a continuous period of three (3) consecutive months from the activation of the device plan or any other period as determined by U Mobile from time to time.

  6. U Mobile may unblock the use of the device upon receipt of the outstanding payment and upon your request to unblock the use of the device, if your device use is blocked due to non-payment of the Monthly Fees of your chosen rate plan.

  7. If your device is blocked due to fraud or suspected fraud, you may be requested to contact U Mobile’s customer service for further instructions.

  8. You remain liable for the Monthly Fees if you lose your device, if your account is barred or suspended, or if your use of device is blocked, for any reason.

P139 Roam-Onz GlobalTM Promo

  1. This U Mobile ‘P139 Roam-Onz GlobalTM Promo’ Promotion (“Promotion”) by U Mobile Sdn Bhd (“U Mobile”) will commence at 00:00 on 05 December 2018 and continue until further notice (“Promotion Period”).

  2. By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by all the Promotion terms and conditions below (“Terms and Conditions”) and Roam-Onz GlobalTM terms and conditions which are accessible at u.my/rog.

  3. Promotion Eligibility & Mechanics:
    This Promotion is open to all Active subscribers who sign up for P139 during the Promotion Period. “Active” means you are still able to make and receive calls.

    To participate in this Promotion:

    1. Sign up for P139 during the Promotion Period and get Roam-Onz GlobalTM free for 24 months upon activation.

    2. Roam-Onz GlobalTM quota is refreshed on a monthly basis, in accordance with the bill cycle of your P139 plan.

    3. If there is any change of rate plan, Roam-Onz GlobalTM will be replaced with the Roam-OnzTM offer, subject to the Roam-OnzTM terms and conditions.

    4. Upon the expiry of the Promotion Period, the applicable monthly subscription fees of Roam-Onz GlobalTM will be charged.

    5. If you opt-out from Roam-Onz GlobalTM during the Promotion Period, the Promotion will cease to apply. Any subscription of Roam-Onz GlobalTM thereafter will be subject to the applicable monthly subscription fees.
