Contract freedom means you have the ability to terminate your service at any time. However, if you terminate or downgrade your current plan or change to another rate plan before the expiry of the commitment period, the following will be applicable:
For customers who have paid the Upfront Payment (not entitled to the Upfront Payment waiver), your remaining monthly rebate subsidy will be forfeited.
For customers who are entitled to the Upfront Payment waiver, you will be required to refund the balance of the device subsidy amount (Upfront Payment). The device subsidy balance will be calculated as per the following:
Subsidy amount (Upfront Payment) / Commitment period x Remaining number of months = The refund balance
The remaining number of months will include the month during which you terminated the Service. For example, if you are subscribed to a P79 Postpaid plan with any device and you terminate on the 7th month, you are required to refund RM480 / 24 months x 18 months = RM360.
