The Sub-Code on Opt-In Requirements was registered by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) on 25 May 2026 and came into effect on the same date in accordance with Section 95(2) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

In line with Clause 1.5.3 of the Sub-Code, U Mobile hereby notifies consumers of the registration and implementation of the Sub-Code on Opt-In Requirements.

The Sub-Code sets out the principles and requirements for obtaining consumers' consent before the provision of certain services, with the aim of promoting transparency and consumer protection.
