For existing customers who meet the eligibility criteria, the upfront payment will be waived upon registration. To check if you are available for the upfront payment waiver, log in to the U Mobile Online Store or visit your nearest U Mobile store.
Contract freedom means you have the ability to terminate your service at any time. However, if you terminate or downgrade your current plan, or change to another rate plan before your commitment period expires, the following will apply:
For customers who have paid the upfront payment (not entitled to the upfront payment waiver), your remaining monthly rebate subsidy will be forfeited.
For customers who are entitled to the upfront payment waiver, you will be required to refund the balance of the device subsidy amount (upfront payment). The device subsidy balance will be calculated as per the following:
Subsidy amount (upfront payment) / commitment period x remaining number of months. The remaining number of months will include the month during which you terminated the service.
For example, if you have subscribed to a P79 postpaid plan with any device, and you terminate on the 7th month, you are required to refund RM360 / 24 months x 18 months = RM270.
