4. We will deduct the activation fee from your credit balance based on the Data Plan you subscribe regardless of whether the activation was authorized by you. No refunds or request for credit will be entertained.
5. The validity period for each Data Plan is 30 days from activation. On its expiry, your subscription will be automatically renewed only if you have the minimum credit balance specified in paragraph 2 (Activation and Charges).
6. If you have insufficient credit balance, your subscription will be terminated.
7. You may activate as many Data Plans as you like. Any unused data will be forfeited upon renewal or reactivation of the Data Plan.
8. If you wish to terminate the Data Plan, you can dial *118# to stop the auto renewal.
9. Any unused data will be forfeited upon Data Plan termination. Subsequent data usage will be charged according to the relevant prepaid rate plans.
Data Service
1. By subscribing to U Prepaid 25, 35, 40 and 50 you will enjoy unlimited data usage with Internet speed based on the respective Internet quota and speed as specified in the Table under paragraph 1 (General) above. The Data Plans include unlimited video and music streaming at standard definition.
2. You are given an extra 3GB high-speed data quota for U Prepaid 35 for mobile hotspot usage. After the quota is fully utilized, data speed will be managed.
3. You are given an extra 3GB high-speed data quota for U Prepaid 40 for mobile hotspot usage. After the quota is fully utilized, your mobile hotspot usage will be based on unlimited data usage with Internet speed up to 12Mbps. Hotspot usages are subject to Fair Usage Policy (FUP) as set out in paragraph 5 below.
4. You are given an extra 3GB high-speed data quota for U Prepaid 50 for mobile hotspot usage. After the quota is fully utilized, your mobile hotspot usage will be based on unlimited data usage with Internet speed up to 24Mbps. Hotspot usages are subject to the FUP as set out in paragraph 5 below.
5. All Data Plans (including hotspot usages) are subject to our FUP. U Prepaid 25 has an FUP quota of 40GB while U Prepaid 35/40/50 has an FUP quota of 200GB. Upon reaching the FUP limit, the speed will be reduced to 512 Kbps. There is no quota limit for browsing on reduced speed.
6. Peer-to-peer (P2P) usage is up to 64kbps.
7. For non-mobile hotspot usage, you can use the Data Plans via smartphones only and no other devices including MiFi and USB dongle. U Mobile may from time to time change the device requirement for the Data Plans based on its discretion.
8. U Mobile at its sole and absolute discretion reserves the right at any time without being liable to you to suspend or terminate the Data Plans if you are found to be in violation of the Terms
9. The data service which provides access to the Internet and related services via our 4G/5G network only and is only available to customers within our 4G/5G network coverage area. The Service is subject to network limitations and availability and device capability. You cannot use the Service to connect to the Internet outside of our 4G/5G network coverage area. 10. The data service is subject to network limitations and availability and device capability. Your actual download speed and data capacity will vary and may be slower and are affected but not limited, by your distance from our mobile tower, the capacity of our mobile tower, the source of your download, your handset type and quality, the general Internet traffic and coverage availability.
11. When there is a network failure, your normal (non-hotspot) data usage may inadvertently be deducted from your mobile hotspot quota. You acknowledge the possibility of this happening and agree not to hold us liable.
Daily 1 Hour Ultra Speed for U Prepaid 25 (“Ultra Speed”)
1. The Ultra Speed allows you to enjoy uncapped speed on 4G or 5G network for U Prepaid 25 for 1 hour a day.
2. You can redeem the Ultra Speed via MyUMobile App. You will be able to enjoy uncapped speed on 4G or 5G network depending on the best available network coverage in your area.
3. You can only redeem the Ultra Speed once in every 24 hours. By way of an example: If you redeem on 1 March at 2 p.m, you can only redeem again after 3 p.m on 2 March. 24 hours period starts from the expiry of the Ultra Speed.
4. All usages during the Ultra Speed are included in your FUP quota. By way of an example, if you are on U Prepaid 25 and you consume 2GB on the Ultra Speed, your remaining FUP quota will be reduced from 40GB to 38GB.
5. Upon reaching the FUP quota, your Internet speed will remain at 512 kbps even if you redeemed the Ultra Speed. By way of example, if your U Prepaid 25 has already hit the FUP quota of 40GB, and you redeemed the Ultra Speed, your Internet speed will still be managed at 512kbps.
Unlimited 5G Weekends for U Prepaid 35 / 40 / 50 (“Unlimited 5G Weekends”)
1. Unlimited 5G Weekends allows you to enjoy high-speed on 4G or 5G network for U Prepaid 35, 40 and 50 every Saturday and Sunday.
2. You can redeem Unlimited 5G Weekends anytime via MyUMobile App. Once redeemed, you will be able to see the “Unlimited 5G Weekends” under “Usage Details” tab in MyUMobile App for 7 days. However, Unlimited 5G Weekends will only be enabled on Saturdays and Sundays (from 12 a.m Saturdays, until 11:59 p.m Sundays) and you will be able to enjoy high-speed on 4G or 5G network depending on the available network coverage in your area.
3. You may redeem Unlimited 5G Weekends as many as you like, however if multiple redemptions are made, only the latest Unlimited 5G Weekends redemption will be valid.
4. All usage consumed on Unlimited 5G Weekends are included in your FUP quota. By way of an example, if you are on U Prepaid 35 and you consume 2GB on Unlimited 5G Weekends, your remaining FUP quota will be reduced from 200GB to 198GB.
5. Upon reaching the FUP quota, your speed will remain at 512Kbps even if you redeemed Unlimited 5G Weekends. By way of example, if your U Prepaid 35 has already reached the FUP quota of 200GB, and you redeem Unlimited 5G Weekends, your speed will still be managed at 512kbps.
Voice Service
1. The voice service applies to domestic mobile, domestic fixed on-net and off-net usage and excludes video calls, MMS, International Direct Dial (IDD), International Roaming, Voicemail (1311) or calls to special numbers/premium numbers (e.g.: 1300 / 1500 / 1508 / 1600 / 1700 / 1900 / 103, 800 & 15999), 02-prefix numbers for border calls to Singapore and 080-prefix numbers for border calls to Brunei.
2. You must only use the voice service strictly as part of normal everyday mobile voice usage and not for commercial use. The Data Plan shall not be:
a. re-sold, rented or utilised in any other way;
b. used for multiple simultaneous calling, conference calling, re-supply, call centre usage, telemarketing, application-to-person communication, continuous calling for extended period of time, auto-dialling, machine-to-machine communication;
c. used for wholesale or for SIM boxing or aggregate minutes on our network;
d. used in connection with a device, software or application which re-routes calls;
e. used to set up switch devices which could keep a line open potentially for hours and limiting the ability for other customers to access our network; or
f. used for any other activity that U Mobile considers to be non-standard usage.
3. In addition to our other rights and remedies, we may suspend or terminate your Data Plan if you breach any of the Terms and any unused credit balance shall be forfeited.
Free 30 Minutes Budget International Direct Dial (“BIDD”) Promotion
1. This Free 30 Minutes BIDD Promotion (“Promotion”) by U Mobile commences from 23 November 2022 until further notice (“Promotion Period”).
2. This Promotion is open to all Active Prepaid subscribers who subscribe to the any of the Data Plans during the Promotion Period. “Active” means able to make and receive calls.
3. All successful subscription of Data Plans during the Promotion Period will be entitled to receive Free 30 Minutes BIDD calls (“Free Calls”). The Free Calls are valid for 10 days from the activation of the Data Plans. All unused minutes will be forfeited upon expiry of the 10 days’ validity period or upon termination of the Data Plan whichever occurs first.
