Terms and Conditions for 5G OFFICE PLUS (Sim-plan only)

 

  1. General

    1. 5G OFFICE PLUS plan (“Plan”) is available as a stand-alone internet access service (“Service”). You must comply with the Terms of Service of our Postpaid Service, our Privacy Notice and these additional terms and conditions, (collectively, the “Terms”) all which are available on www.u.com.my.

    2. In the event of any conflicts or inconsistencies between these terms and conditions and the Terms of Service of our Postpaid Service, these terms shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistencies.

    3. We may revise the Terms, the Service or our pricing without any liability. We may provide reasonable advance notice of such changes. You are advised to regularly check the Terms on our website. Your continued usage of the Service signifies your acceptance of the changes to these terms, the Service or our pricing. If you do not agree to any of the changes, you must immediately terminate your subscription to the Service.
       
  2. Service Description:

    1. The Plan is a data service only (with base data of 1500GB) (“FUP Limit”) which provides access to the Internet. The Service is subject to 4G and 5G network availability and your own device capability. The Service is only available at selected coverage areas. You can check if your area is within the Service coverage area by visiting www.u.com.my.

    2. The Plan is only applicable for domestic usage and will not be available when you are roaming overseas. Data consumption is counted in MB increments. Non-data use (voice, SMS/MMS, video calls, content subscription services, roaming and international call services) is not available in your Plan.

    3. The Plan is applicable for hotspot and non-hotspot usage.

    4. The Plan is subject to our Fair Usage Policy (“FUP”) as defined in the Terms of Service of our Postpaid Service. Upon reaching the FUP Limit, the speed will be reduced to 512kbps. There is no quota limit for browsing on reduced speed.
       
    5. We may monitor your account to ensure you are complying with the Terms. We will investigate misuse of the Plan. If we find that you have misused the Plan, we may recover from you any costs of investigating the misuse and any compensation we are required to pay to regulators or other parties as a result of your misuse.
       
  3. Eligibility

    1. To qualify as an account holder, you must be an employee of selected organizations, a Malaysian citizen and at least 18 years old on the date of sign up under a corporate company (CC) account or a corporate individual (CI) account.

    2. You are allowed to change your existing U Mobile Wireless Broadband (“WBB”) plan to the Plan, provided that you do not have any ongoing contract under your WBB plan. If you make all outstanding payments including any early termination fees under your existing WBB plan, you may subscribe to the Plan. Any unused data allowance or benefit from your existing WBB plan will be forfeited.

    3. You are not eligible for the Plan if you have any outstanding payments with us.

    4. U Mobile reserves the right to change the eligibility criteria for the Plan from time to time.
       
  4. Deposit and Upfront Advance Fee

    1. If you are an employee of a foreign company, a RM500 deposit is required.
    2. The Upfront Advance Fee (which is the amount equal to the Monthly Fee) is charged during registration. The Upfront Advance Fee will be used to offset against your first month’s bill; any remaining balance of the Upfront Advance Fee will be carried forward to your following month’s bill where you will then be required to pay the remaining balance.

    3. If you have migrated from a WBB plan, you are required to make an Upfront Advance Fee payment upon registration of the Plan. The Upfront Advance Fee of your earlier WBB plan will be refunded to you upon settlement of all the outstanding charges of the earlier WBB plan.
       
  5. Monthly Fee

    1. The pricing table under the Plan is set out on our website at www.u.com.my. If your pricing plan sets out a maximum amount of data that you can use to download and upload, any unused data allowance expires each month or day (depending on your data plan) and cannot be rolled over for use and will be forfeited.

    2. Your first month data charges will be prorated. For the following month, your monthly data charges are payable for each full monthly billing period. If the Plan is terminated before the end of your billing cycle, your monthly data charges will be pro-rated.

    3. You must pay the Monthly Fee in full even if you do not use the Plan to the full value of the service for the month, and no part of the Monthly Fee will be carried over to the following months. Any usage exceeding the Monthly Fee will be billed to you on a monthly basis. “Monthly Fee “may be used interchangeably with “Access Fee” or “Monthly Access Fee” in www.u.com.my or in your bill.

    4. All prices stated in these Terms are exclusive of all current and future taxes and other similar charges such as stamp duty, service tax, goods and services tax, sales tax and value added tax that may be imposed by any authority and will be borne by you.
       
  6. Experience

    1. Your actual download speed and data capacity based on your pricing plan vary and are affected, but not limited, by your distance from our 4G or 5G mobile network tower, the capacity of our mobile tower, the source of your download, your handset type and quality, your hardware and software and the general Internet traffic.

    2. You are responsible for monitoring your own data use. Any usage meter which we make available for checking your data allowance balance is provided as a convenience to you. The usage shown in the usage meter is an indication only and is not the actual amount. Your actual usage will be recorded in your monthly bill. You may download the MyUMobile App or log in to BusinessCare Portal to view your data usage.

    3. For full experience with the Plan, you must ensure your connected device is either 4G LTE capable device or 5G-ready device. Your use of the Service is dependent on the hardware and software that you use. We do not make any representation or warranty that our SIM or Service will be compatible with your hardware and software.
       
  7. Disclaimer

    1. We are not responsible for any Internet content that may be obtained via the Plan. You must ensure that the software you use with the Plan is properly licensed. You must not resell, share, or otherwise distribute the Plan to a third party.

    2. The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “where-is” basis. We disclaim all liability in relation to the Service including but not limited to the availability, accessibility, timeliness, continuous and uninterrupted use of the Service or secured access to the Service.
  8. Termination

    1. The Service will continue until terminated by you (except where you have subscribed to an add-on data plan in which case the Plan continues until your data allowance expires or is used up, whichever occurs earlier) or until terminated by us according to the Terms.

    2. You may contact your Enterprise Account Manager, call Customer Service via 018 388 1318 or walk-in to our service centres to request for termination of the Plan.
       

Terms and Conditions for Wi-Fi 6 5G Router Bundle with 5G OFFICE PLUS Plan

 

  1. General

    1. Wi-Fi 6 5G Router Bundle with 5G OFFICE PLUS Plan (“Bundle”) is a bundled service where you can subscribe to 5G OFFICE PLUS Plan with a device offered by U Mobile. By subscribing to the Bundle, the Terms of Service of 5G OFFICE PLUS Plan, including our Privacy Notice, and these additional terms and conditions will apply (collectively, the “Terms”), all of which are available on www.u.com.my.

    2. We may revise the Terms, the Service or our pricing without any liability. We may provide reasonable advance notice of such changes. You are advised to regularly check the Terms on our website. Your continued usage of the Service signifies your acceptance of the changes to these terms, the Service or our pricing. If you do not agree to any of the changes, you must immediately terminate your subscription to the Service.

    3. The Bundle consists of 5G OFFICE PLUS Plan service together with one (1) Wi-Fi 6 5G modem-router device (“Device”).
       
  2. Duration

    1. Your subscription to the Bundle is subject to a 24-month commitment period (“Commitment Period”) effective from the Bundle activation date.
       
  3. Eligibility

    1. You are not eligible for the Bundle if you have outstanding payments with us or your service history with other telecommunications providers does not meet our eligibility requirements.

    2. To qualify as an account holder, you must be an employee of selected organizations, a Malaysian citizen and at least 18 years old on the date of sign up under a corporate company (CC) account or a corporate individual (CI) account.

    3. U Mobile reserves the right to change the eligibility criteria for the Bundle from time to time.
       
  4. Deposit and Upfront Advance Fee

    1. If you are an employee of a foreign company, a RM500 deposit is required.
       
  5. Disclaimer

    1. Your actual download speed based on your pricing plan will vary and may be slower and are affected, but not limited, by your device’s distance from the Device, the number and types of devices connecting to the Device, the layout of your premises (number and thickness of walls), and interference from nearby electrical and frequency emitting devices (which includes but is not limited to: Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, neighbouring Wi-Fi routers), and the general Internet traffic.

    2. We may monitor your account to ensure you are complying with the Terms. We will investigate misuse of the Bundle. If we find that you have misuse the Bundle, we may recover from you any costs of investigating the misuse and any compensation we are required to pay to regulators or other parties because of your misuse.

    3. You must ensure that your device is a LAN or Wi-Fi enabled device. We are not responsible for any failure to obtain the Service due to your device.

    4. We are not responsible for any Internet content that may be obtained via the Bundle. You must ensure that the software you used with the Bundle is properly licensed. You must not resell, share, or otherwise distribute the Bundle to a third party.
       
  6. Equipment and Warranty

    1. Availability of the Device is subject to stock availability during the registration of the Bundle. If the Device is unavailable, you may sign-up for 5G OFFICE PLUS (SIM-only plan) and obtain the Device at a future date.

    2. The images shown in our website or promotion materials are for illustration purposes only and may not be an exact representation of the Device. We reserve the right to change the Device models with a device of comparable capability.
    3. The warranty period for the Device is valid throughout the Commitment Period.

    4. We reserve the right to verify the Device submitted for warranty replacement. If we find the Device is functional or have been tampered with in any way, we may impose a Device replacement fee equivalent to the cost of a new Device.

    5. The Device warranty does not cover the following incidents:  
      1. Damage, lost, stolen or defects to the Device caused by any act, omission, misuse, negligence, serial number removed or defaced; or

      2. Deactivation of the network operator-lock function; or

      3. Other acts beyond our reasonable control.

    6. You may visit your nearest U Mobile service centres (www.u.com.my/store-finder) or our Enterprise Partner outlets (www.u.com.my/en/business/support/store-finder) if you have issues with the Device.
       
  7. Termination and Suspension

    1. The Bundle will continue until terminated by you unless you have subscribed to an add-on data plan in which case the Bundle continues until your data allowance expires or is used up, whichever occurs earlier or until terminated by us according to the Terms.

    2. If the Bundle is terminated prior to the expiry of the Commitment Period, you are required to pay the balance charges for the remaining months of the Commitment Period (“Early Termination Fee”) and any unpaid charges for the Bundle. The calculation of the Early Termination Fees is as follows:

      Recommended Retail Price (RRP) × (Number of months remaining ÷ Commitment Period)

      (The remaining number of months will be deemed to include the month during which you terminated your Bundle.)

    3. The Device provided under the Bundle, will belong to you and is not required to be returned to us even if the Bundle is terminated.

    4. You may walk-in to our U Mobile service centres or our Enterprise Partner outlets to request for termination of the Bundle.

    5. If your Service is suspended due to non-payment of outstanding bills, the Monthly Fee will continue to be charged. We may notify you prior to the termination of the Service due to continuous suspension. We may reactivate the Bundle within 2 business days after you have paid all outstanding charges.

    6. We reserve the right to cease, alter, cancel, suspend, or substitute the Bundle at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you for any and all loss or damage suffered or incurred by you (including negligence) as a result of such cessation, alteration, cancellation, suspension or substitution.
       

Terms and Conditions for WebGuard Bundled Feature

 

  1. General

    1. WebGuard (“Service”) is a bundled feature of the 5G OFFICE PLUS Plan (“Plan”) that blocks access to harmful, illegal or malicious websites.

    2. The Service is supplied according to the Terms of Service of the Plan. You must comply with those Terms of Service, including our Privacy Notice and these additional terms and conditions (collectively, the “Terms”), all of which are available on www.u.com.my.

    3. Categories may include but are not limited to adult or pornographic content; malware, botnets, spyware, and adware; phishing, fraud, and scam websites; spam sources and spam-related URLs; illegal content (e.g. child sexual abuse material); and sites promoting self-harm. These categories may be updated from time to time without prior notice.
       
  2. Limitations

    1. The Service is provided on a “as-is” basis without any service level assurance (whether express or implied). The Service may not block all harmful websites. including detecting or blocking all harmful, malicious, illegal, or inappropriate websites or online content. It may occasionally block websites or content that are lawful, safe or otherwise unobjectionable.

    2. The Service is offered as a supplementary filtering feature to help reduce exposure to online threats such as unsafe websites, phishing attempts, malware and other online risks while using the Plan. While it provides additional protection, the Service does not replace antivirus software, firewalls or other security measures and no security solution is completely effective. You should remain cautious and practise safe browsing.

    3. The Service may not function properly if your device, browser, or applications use special DNS settings instead of the normal default DNS setting.
       
  3. Disclaimer

    1. We are not liable for any costs, loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) or for loss of revenue, loss of profits or any special or consequential loss including loss of profits, data, revenue, business and anticipated savings of any nature or for any inconvenience that may arise directly or indirectly from or in connection with your use of, reliance on or inability to use the Service. You remain solely responsible for your internet usage and for maintaining appropriate security practices.
       

Terms and Conditions for Unlimited Biz Apps Bundled Feature

 

  1. General

    1. Unlimited Biz Apps (“Service”) is a bundle feature of the 5G OFFICE PLUS Plan (“Plan”) that allows designated business applications to be used without consuming your data quota.

    2. The Service is provided in accordance with the Terms of Service of the Plan. You must comply with those Terms of Service, including our Privacy Notice and these additional terms and conditions (collectively, the “Terms”), all of which are available at www.u.com.my.

    3. The Service covers the following applications:
      • Microsoft 365 (MS365): Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Online (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      • Google Workspace: Google Meet, Google Chat, Google Drive, Gmail
      • Zoom
      • TikTok
      • Xiaohongshu
      • WhatsApp

  2. Limitations

    1. Data usage for the designated applications listed above will not count towards your data allowance under the Plan. All other applications and services will consume the standard data allowance in the Plan.

    2. The Service identifies applications using technical patterns which may change over time. While we regularly update our database, application detection and related data usage information may not be completely accurate.

    3. The Service may not function correctly if your device, browser or applications use custom DNS, VPN or other special network configurations that interfere with traffic recognition.

    4. The Service does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to these applications, nor does it replace the security, backup or privacy measures provided by the applications themselves.
       
  3. Disclaimer

    1. The Service is provided on an “as-is” basis without any service level assurance (whether express or implied) and may not fully capture all data usage for these applications.

    2. We are not liable for any costs, loss, damage (whether direct or indirect) or for loss of revenue, loss of profits or any special or consequential loss including loss of profits, data, revenue, business and anticipated savings of any nature or for any inconvenience that may arise directly or indirectly from or in connection with your use of the Service, including data inaccuracies, service interruptions or compatibility issues.

    3. You remain responsible for your use of the applications and for complying with any applicable laws, rules or regulations when using the Service.
