Terms and Conditions for ULTRA IoT

 

 

These terms and conditions apply to the ULTRA IoT Plans and are to be read together with the General Terms and Conditions for Business Solutions. If there is any conflict between the two, these Service-Specific Terms will prevail to the extent of such conflict.

 

1. Eligibility and Activation

 

1.1. The Plan is available to any business, company, partnership, sole proprietorship, association, society, non-governmental or government body or corporate entity with their business premises located within the Service coverage areas in Malaysia.

 

1.2. You must agree to the Plan proposal specified in the Order Form.

 

1.3. We will activate the Plan and SIM Card(s) within a reasonable time after our acceptance of your Order Form.  

 

2. The Plans

 

You may subscribe to any of the following plans offered under this Service:

2.1. Individual Data SIM Plan

 

(a) The Individual Data SIM Plan is a data service that allows subscription to specific tiers within the individual data quota plan.

 

(b) The individual data quota is exclusive to the subscribing SIM Card and cannot be shared with other SIM Cards.

 

(c) Each data plan subscribed is subject to a Monthly Recurring Charge throughout the Service period.

 

(d) SIM fees are waived for all new service activations under the Individual Data SIM Plan.

 

2.2. Data Pool Plan

 

(a) The Data Pool Plan provides a shared data quota subscribed based on specific tiers, which can be used across multiple SIM Cards within the same Data Pool Plan.

 

(b) Data usage by each SIM under the same Data Pool Plan will be deducted from the total subscribed data quota of that plan.

 

(c) The Data Pool Plan supports up to a maximum of two hundred (200) or two thousand (2,000) SIM Cards, depending on the Data Pool Plan tier subscribed.

 

(d) SIM fees are waived for the first two hundred (200) SIMs in each Data Pool Plan. A one-time fee applies for each additional standard SIM, industrial SIM, or eSIM added beyond this limit.

 

2.3. Add-Ons. Add-ons may be purchased to enhance existing subscribed Plans.

 

2.3.1 Individual Data SIM Plan Add-Ons

 

 

 

 

 

(i)

Data Quota Add-On:
  1. Data Quata Add-on provides data quota that can be purchased to supplement an existing Individual Data SIM Plan subscription.
  2. Data Quota Add-on is available only for the Individual Data SIM Plan.
  3.  A minimum of one (1) active Individual Data SIM Plan is required to subscribe to Data Quota Add-on.
  4. Re-purchase of the same package is permitted.
  5. The quota is not stackable for repeated purchases. The newly purchased Data Quota Add-On will replace the previous balance.
  6. Each Data Quota Add-On incurs a one-time charge and remains valid for thirty (30) days or until the data quota is fully utilized, whichever comes first.

 

 

 

 

(ii)

SMS Package:
  1. The SMS Package is available only for the Individual Data SIM Plan.
  2. The SMS Package provides an SMS quota that can be used to send SMS to all domestic mobile networks.
  3. Co-existing quotas are allowed; you may purchase multiple packages and utilize them based on a predefined priority.
  4. Re-purchase of the same package is permitted.
  5. The SMS Package is stackable for repeated purchases of the same package.
  6. Each SMS Package is subject to a Monthly Recurring Charge throughout the Service period.
(iii) SMS Add-On:
  1. The SMS Add-On is only available for Individual Data SIM Plan.
  2. A minimum of one (1) active SMS Package is required to subscribe to SMS Add-On.
  3. The SMS Add-On provides additional SMS quota that can be purchased to supplement an existing SMS package subscription.
  4. Re-purchase of the same package is permitted.
  5. The SMS Add-On is not stackable for repeated purchases. The newly purchased SMS Add-On will replace the previous SMS quota balance.
  6. Each SMS Add-On incurs a one-time charge and remains valid for thirty (30) days or until the SMS quota is fully utilized, whichever comes first.
 (iv) Voice Package:
  1. The Voice Package is only available for the Individual Data SIM Plan.
  2. The Voice Package provides a voice quota for domestic all-net non-premium calls.
  3. Co-existing Voice Package are allowed; you may purchase multiple packages and utilize them based on a predefined priority.
  4. Re-purchase of the same package is not permitted.
  5. Each Voice Package is subject to a Monthly Recurring Charge throughout the Service period.
  6. Upon full utilization of the Voice Package, you shall be charged a pay-per-use fee per minute.
 (v) Voice Add-On:
  1. The Voice Add-On is available only for the Individual Data SIM Plan.
  2. The Voice Add-On provides additional Voice quota that can be purchased to supplement an existing Voice Package subscription.
  3. Re-purchase of the same package is permitted.
  4. The Voice Add-On is stackable for repeated purchases; newly purchased Voice Add-Ons will be added to the previous voice quota balance.
  5. Each Voice Add-On incurs a one-time charge and remains valid for thirty (30) days or until the voice quota is fully utilized, whichever comes first.
(vi) Fixed Public IP Package:
  1. The Fixed Public IP Package provides a dedicated public IP address for your Ultra IoT Individual Data Sim & Data Pool Plans.
  2. Each Fixed Public IP Package is subject to a Monthly Recurring Charge throughout the Service period.
  3. Once this Service is applied to your Plan, you will be assigned a Fixed Public IP address that will remain active for as long as your Plan is active.

 

2.3.2       Data Pool Plan Add-Ons

 

 

 

 

 

(i)

Data Pool Quota Add-On
  1. A minimum of one (1) active Data Pool Plan is required to subscribe to the Data Pool Quota Add-On.
  2. The Data Pool Quota Add-On provides additional data quota that can be purchased to supplement an existing Data Pool plan subscription.
  3. Re-purchase of the same package is permitted.
  4. The Data Pool Quota Add-On is not stackable for repeated purchases. The newly purchased Data Pool Quota Add-On will replace the previous quota balance.
  5. Each Data Pool Quota Add-On incurs a one-time charge and remains valid for thirty (30) days or until the data quota is fully utilized, whichever comes first.
(ii) Fixed Public IP Package:
  1. The Fixed Public IP Package provides a dedicated public IP address for your Ultra IoT Individual Data Sim & Data Pool Plans.
  2. Each Fixed Public IP is subject to a Monthly Recurring Charge throughout the Service period.
  3. Once this Service is applied to your Plan, you will be assigned a Fixed Public IP address that will remain active for as long as your Plan is active.

2.3.3       Optional Network Configuration

 

 

 

 

 

(i)

Private APN service
  1. The Private APN service must be subscribed together with a ULTRA IoT Individual Data Sim or IoT Data Pool Plan.
  2. The Private APN service is a bespoke network configuration provisioned based on your requirements.
  3. A dedicated APN name will be assigned to your Plan and the SIM Card(s) subscribed under that Plan, subject to name availability.
  4. Subscription to a Fixed Public IP Package is mandatory for each SIM Card under the Private APN service.
  5. The Private APN service is subject to a one-time setup charge and a Monthly Recurring Charge throughout the Service period.
(ii)

 

 

 

 

Private APN with IPSec service

  1. The Private APN with IPSec service must be subscribed together with a ULTRA IoT Individual Data Sim or Data Pool Plan.
  2. A dedicated APN name will be assigned to your Plan and the SIM Card(s) under your Plan, subject to name availability.
  3. The service provides a secure IPSec tunnel between U Mobile’s network and your designated network endpoint, based on your network requirements and technical specifications.
  4. A Fixed Private IP address will be assigned to each SIM under this configuration.
  5. The Private APN with IPSec service is subject to a one-time setup charge and a Monthly Recurring Charge throughout the Service period.

3. Charges

 

3.1. Charges for the Plan, including any optional features, will be stated in your Order Form.

 

3.2. Monthly Recurring Charges apply from the Service Activation Date, even if the Service is not used.

 

3.3. Where you have committed to purchase a minimum number of SIM cards in the Order Form (“Committed SIM Cards”), you shall activate such Committed SIM Cards within six (6) months from the Service Activation Date (“Activation Window”). Upon expiry of the Activation Window:

 

(a) you shall be charged, in a lump sum, the Commitment Fee for such remaining inactivated Committed SIM cards. The Commitment Fee is calculated as follows:

 

Number of inactivated Committed SIM Cards after the Activation Window x Monthly Recurring Charges x Minimum Commitment Period

 

(b) The Commitment Fee will be reflected in the monthly bill immediately following the expiry of the Activation Window.

 

4. Usage Restrictions

 

4.1. The Plan is strictly for IoT data communication purposes only. Personal use is prohibited. In addition to our Fair Usage Policy, you shall not:

 

(a) tamper with, clone, or modify the SIM Card;

 

(b) use the SIM Card in any manner that affects our network integrity or breaches any applicable law or regulations; and

 

(c) engage in excessive, fraudulent, or abnormal usage inconsistent with typical IoT communication behaviour.

 

4.2. We reserve the right to suspend, limit, or terminate the Service if we detect any misuse, abuse, or breach of the terms of this Plan including the Fair Use Policy.

 

5. Term and Termination

 

5.1. Each SIM Card subscribed under the Plan is subject to a Minimum Commitment Period as stated in the Order Form.

 

5.2. If a SIM is terminated before the end of the Minimum Commitment Period, an Early Termination Fee (ETF) shall apply. The Early Termination Fee shall be equivalent to the Monthly Recurring Charge of the subscribed Plan multiplied by the remaining months in the Minimum Commitment Period.

 

6. Plan Modification

 

6.1. If you subscribe to an additional Plan, your monthly bill will include the total charges for all active Plans.

 

6.2. You are not allowed to upgrade, downgrade or transfer your Plan during the Minimum Commitment Period.

 

6.3. Any request to upgrade, downgrade or transfer your Plan during the Minimum Commitment Period shall be deemed an early termination and subject to the Early Termination Fee.

 

6.4. After the Minimum Commitment Period ends, you may upgrade, downgrade or terminate your Plan by contacting your Account Manager.

 

7. SIM and mobile number

 

7.1. We own the SIM at all times. You have no legal interest, rights or goodwill to any mobile number or PIN assigned to the SIM.

 

7.2. You must keep the SIM safe and in good condition and return the SIM to us upon request, including when this Agreement ends or if the SIM is upgraded, modified or replaced for operational reasons.

 

7.3. You must not sell, distribute or reproduce the SIM and must take all reasonable precautions to prevent its loss, theft or misuse.

 

7.4. You may be charged for any SIM replacement, except in cases where the replacement is due to a verified manufacturing defect. In the event of theft or loss, you remain liable to pay for all fees and charges incurred through the use of the Service.

 

7.5. We may withdraw or change any mobile number for commercial, operational or technical reasons or in compliance with any requirement of the regulatory authority and we will endeavour to give you reasonable notice in this event.

 

7.6. You are responsible for managing and monitoring the usage of all SIMs.

 

7.7. You may contact your Account Manager for any SIM-related support.

 

7.8. You remain liable for all Charges under your Plan(s) and any Add-Ons until the Service is officially deactivated.

 

8. Definitions

 

In these Terms, when we say:

8.1 “Account Manager” refers to the dedicated representative for your ULTRA IoT account, assisting with service queries. Contact details of your Account Manager will be shared upon activation and may be updated from time to time.

 

8.2 “Add On(s)” means additional services that can be purchased to enhance the existing subscribed Plan(s).

 

8.3 “Data Pool” means the data sharing pool of the total allocated data quota across all active SIM Cards within the same Plan.

 

8.4 “Device” means any equipment or hardware that uses the IoT SIM Card for connectivity.

 

8.5 “End User(s)” means your employee or agents or any person using the SIM Card or the Services provided to you.

 

8.6 “Fixed Public IP” means a static, publicly routable Internet Protocol (IP) address assigned to your SIM Card when subscribed to the Fixed Public IP package.

 

8.7 “Fixed Private IP” means a static internal Internet Protocol (IP) address assigned to a SIM Card for use within a private routing environment under the Private APN with IPSec service.

 

8.8 “IPSec” means Internet Protocol Security; a secure tunnel protocol used to protect communication between U Mobile’s network and your designated network endpoint.

 

8.9 “IoT” means Internet of Things communication using a SIM card to enable data transmission between devices and systems.

 

8.10 “Minimum Commitment Period” is the pre-agreed duration for which you are required to subscribe to the Services as specified in the Order Form which shall commence from the Service Activation Date of the SIM Card.

 

8.11 “Monthly Recurring Charge” means the fixed charges that you must pay every month for a subscribed Service.

 

8.12 “Order Form” means to any of our official document used to confirm your request to us to supply a specific service to you, such as a Service Order Form (SoF), Electronic Registration Form (eRF), or a customer-approved quotation.

 

8.13 “Plan(s)” refers to the subscribed ULTRA IoT Individual Data SIM or Data Pool plan or both (as the case may be), including its respective data quota, fees, and features. This does not include the Add Ons.

 

8.14 “Private APN” means Private Access Point Name; a dedicated network configuration within U Mobile’s mobile network that routes your SIM Card traffic through a controlled network path to your designated system or network environment.

 

8.15 “Service Activation Date” means the date that we activate your SIM Card for your use.

 

8.16 “SIM Card” means the subscriber identity module issued under this Plan.

 

8.17 “You” or “your” means the corporate customer or company holding a ULTRA IoT account, including your employees or agents or any person, who are authorised to use or manage the subscribed SIMs or the Services under this Service-Specific Terms and Conditions.
