This exercise is carried out in collaboration with MCMC (refer to https://www.mcmc.gov.my/media/press-releases/industry-task-force-for-data-verification-formed ).
The main objective is aimed at curbing misuse of prepaid mobile services for criminal activities and the protection of other consumers from any unlawful activities. Therefore, it is critical to ensure all prepaid users are accurately registered with the respective service providers.
Prepaid users with inaccurate registration details will be contacted by U Mobile via SMS or call for data verification. Prepaid users need to ensure that their details registered with U Mobile are accurate.
You are required to update your Name, ID and Address. Your original identity document (i.e. MyKAD, Passport etc.) is required for the registration updates.
U Mobile will suspend and terminate the prepaid services immediately if user's registration details were found to be inaccurate or falsely registered and were unable to be rectified within the stipulated time given. Upon termination, the remaining balance for the prepaid services will be forfeited and U Mobile is under no obligation to re-issue the same number to the user during any new registration in the future.
This will be an on-going and periodical exercise by U Mobile in collaboration with MCMC.
Affected users will be contacted by U Mobile via call or SMS for data verification.
Affected users are advised to promptly update their registration details by walking in to the nearest U Mobile stores (https://www.u.com.my/store-finder/service-centres) or contact our customer service at +6018 388 1318 (Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm).
