General
- The “Pakej Rahmah” (“Data Package”) is a data service which offers 30GB data at uncapped 5G/4G speed with 180 days validity period, and available from 16th August 2024 onwards.
- The Data Package is available for individual who are Malaysian students, aged below 24 years old who are registered in any of the selected Malaysian Public Institutions of Higher Education (IPTA) and Public Skills Training Institutions (ILKA).
- Subscribers who are below the age of 18 years old are deemed to have obtained the consent of their parents or guardians to subscribe to the Data Package.
- The Data Package cannot be transferred to any other mobile number.
- The Data Package is provided according to the U Mobile Prepaid Terms and Conditions. You must comply with those terms, our Privacy Notice, the relevant Prepaid subscription plan and these additional terms and conditions (collectively, the "Terms") all of which are available here.
- We reserve the right to discontinue offering the Data Package, modify or otherwise change these Terms including the charges.
- The Data Package cannot be combined with any other offers unless expressly stated.
Activation and Charges
- You may activate the Data Package via MyUMobile App.
- Before you activate, you must have a minimum credit balance of RM30.
- The activation fee applicable for the Data Package is RM30. We will deduct the amount from your credit balance whether or not the activation was authorized by you. No refunds or request for credit will be entertained.
- The validity period for the Data Package is 180 days from activation. Your Prepaid line’s active period will be automatically extended for 180 days from the date of Data Package purchase if your Prepaid line’s active period is less than 180 days. This will allow usage of the total 180 days validity period without additional Prepaid top up.
Example: If the end date of your Prepaid line’s active period is on 1st September 2024 and you purchase the Data Package on 31st August 2024, the Prepaid line’s active period’s end date will be extended by 180 days to 27th February 2025. However, if the end date of your Prepaid line’s active period is more than 180 days from the date of Data Package purchase, there will be no change to the end date of the Prepaid line’s active period. - On the expiry of the validity period, your Data Package subscription will not be automatically renewed.
- You may re-purchase the Data Package at any point of time. Any unused data (of the existing Data Package) will be carried forward or use upon re-purchase of the Data Package.
- Upon the expiry of the Campaign Period, the Data Package will cease to be available for purchase. However, you may continue using your subscribed Data Package until its expiry date.
Data Service
- By subscribing the Data Package, you will enjoy 30GB data at uncapped 5G/4G speed for all Internet usage. After the quota is fully utilized, you have the option to re-purchase the Data Package or any other data plans available via MyUMobile App.
- For non-mobile hotspot usage, you can use the Data Package via smartphones only and no other devices including MiFi and USB dongle. U Mobile may from time to time change the device requirement for the Data Package based on its discretion.
- U Mobile at its sole and absolute discretion reserves the right at any time without being liable to you to suspend or terminate the Data Package if you are found to be in violation of the Terms.
- The data service which provides access to the Internet and related services via our 5G/4G network only and is only available to customers within our 5G/4G network coverage area. The Service is subject to network limitations and availability and device capability. You cannot use the Service to connect to the Internet outside of our 5G/4G network coverage area. - The data service is subject to network limitations and availability and device capability. Your actual download speed and data capacity will vary and may be slower and are affected but not limited, by your distance from our mobile tower, the capacity of our mobile tower, the source of your download, your handset type and quality, the general Internet traffic and coverage availability.
- All subscribers and if the subscribers are below 18 years of age, their parents, or guardians, agree to release U Mobile from and indemnify U Mobile against all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury or for loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct or indirect, special, or consequential arising out of subscription of the Data Package.
- Any consents, indemnities, agreement, undertakings, representations and warranties given under these Terms and Conditions by participants who are below the age of 18 years old are deemed to have been given by their parents or guardians.
