  1. The PAKEJ 5G RAHMAH (“Package”) is provided by U Mobile Sdn. Bhd Registration No. 199101013657 (223969-U) (“U Mobile”) in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Digital (“Ministry”) under the “Pakej 5G Rahmah” programme which commences from 10:00:00 on 1 September 2023 and ends at 23:59:59 on 31 March 2024 (“Registration Period”).

  2. The Package is a 5G data plan bundled with any of the 5G devices listed in https://www.u.com.my/en/personal/deals/5g-rahmah priced at RM240 each. Under the Package, you are entitled to:

    1. RM10 monthly access fee rebate over the commitment period of 24 months (“Commitment Period”);

    2. if you are the first 100,000 eligible B40 customers, you are entitled to an additional RM120 discount on the 5G device price provided under the Package.
       
  3. This Package is open to all new and existing U Mobile subscribers who:

    1. are Malaysians and at least 18 years of age; and

    2. have been confirmed as eligible B40 customers based on the Ministry of Communications and Digital dedicated portal “Sistem Semakan Pakej Perpaduan” https://pakejperpaduan.kkd.gov.my/ (“KKD Portal”) and who have completed registration of the Package with U Mobile (for category 2(b) above).
       
  4. This Package is subject to the Terms of Service of our Postpaid service. You must comply with those Terms of Service including our Privacy Notice, the relevant Postpaid subscription plan and these additional terms and conditions, (collectively, the “Terms”) all which are available on https://www.u.com.my.

  5. We reserve the right to discontinue offering the Package, modify or otherwise change the Terms.

  6. We reserve the right to reject any participation or subscription at our sole and absolute discretion without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

  7. Package Subscription

    1. To participate, you are required to sign up for U Postpaid 68 Postpaid plan packaged with any of the 5G device specified in https://www.u.com.my/en/personal/deals/5g-rahmah during the Registration Period. The Package is subject to the Commitment Period from the activation of your U Postpaid 68.
    2. For category (b) of paragraph 2 above, you must first conduct an eligibility check and verification at KKD Portal to confirm that you are an eligible B40 customer.
    3. If you are an eligible B40 customer, you can sign up for one (1) Package (selected 5G device priced at RM120) (for one (1) NRIC). If you are subscribing for the Package (selected 5G device priced at RM240), you can sign-up for a maximum of six (6) Packages (for one (1) NRIC).
    4. If you are an eligible B40 customer, you are required to make full payment of the device price upon the Package registration. The RM120 discount will be rebated and reflected in your Postpaid bill within 60 working days.
    5. If you are an eligible existing subscriber, you are allowed to perform Change of Rate Plan (CRP) to sign up for the Package.
    6. If your existing U Mobile Postpaid plan includes ongoing rebates or promotions, they will not apply under this Package.
    7. Device upfront payment may be chargeable upon your sign up for the Package. If the device upfront payment is paid upon sign up, this payment will be reflected as a monthly rebate in your monthly bill statement throughout the Commitment Period from your first bill statement, subject to the bill cycle.
    8. If you terminate or if we terminate your Package due to your default or if you downgrade your rate plan or change to another rate plan before the expiry of the Commitment Period, your remaining monthly rebates (rebates include the access fee rebate, the device upfront payment rebate and RM120 discount) will be forfeited.
    9. If you are entitled to the upfront payment waiver (i.e no upfront payment is required to be made) and if you terminate or if we terminate your Package due to your default or if you downgrade your rate plan or change to another rate plan before the expiry of the Commitment Period, you are required to refund the balance charges calculated below:

      Balance charges = U Mobile Selling Price / Commitment Period x remaining number of months

      (Recommended Retail Price (RRP) and U Mobile Selling Price are specified in https://www.u.com.my/en/personal/support/terms-conditions/postpaid/devices)

      The remaining number of months will be deemed to include the month during which you terminate the service.

    10. We may block or restrict your use of the device during the Commitment Period if (i) we suspect or find that you have committed fraud; or (ii) despite our reminders, you have failed to remit the monthly fees of your Postpaid plan for a continuous period of one (1) month from the activation of the device plan or any other period as we determine from time to time.

      All claims relating to your device, which is part of the Package and which are covered by the warranty, if any, should be referred to the relevant manufacturer. We do not provide any warranty claim on any device.

      You remain liable for the monthly fees if you lose your device, if your account is barred or suspended, or if your use of device is blocked, for any reason.
       
  8. Personal Data

    1. By registering for the Package, our Privacy Notice, will apply. In addition to the Privacy Notice, you agree and consent to us, collecting, storing, using, processing and disclosing your personal data (which includes, but is not limited to, your name and NRIC) to provide and disclose your personal data to the Ministry and its nominees, government departments and government agencies for purposes which are necessary or related to this Package including to validate and process the eligibility of your application to this Package;

    2. You will not be able to participate in the Package if you do not agree and consent to the collection, storage, usage, processing and disclosure of your personal data. We will store your Personal Data in accordance with the data processing principles (including the Security Principle) in the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
