Terms & Conditions

1. This Campaign is open to selected eligible Active U Mobile subscribers only (Corporate account not included):
   1. are Active principal line holders (“Active” means able to make and receive calls);
   2. are of age 18 years and above; and
   3. received an SMS from U Mobile (“Notification”); or received MyUMobile app push notification (“MyUMobile App”) for subscribers who have downloaded the MyUMobile App.
2. U Mobile’s employees, agencies, partners, and their immediate family members are not allowed to participate in this Campaign.
3. U Mobile reserves the right to reject any entries or disqualify any participant without assigning any reason.
4. Participants who are below the age of 18 years old are deemed to have obtained the consent of their parents or guardians to participate in this Campaign.

1. To participate in this Campaign, you must upgrade from your existing Prepaid Plan to U Postpaid 38 Plan during the Campaign Period by:
   • replying to the SMS Notification (“Reply”); or
   • clicking the ‘Take up this deal’ notification on the MyUMobile App (“Reply”).
2. By replying to the SMS Notification or clicking the ‘Take up this deal’ notification, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the Terms of Service for :

3. In the event that your upgrade is not successful due to any reasons after replying to the Notification, our system will automatically reattempt to upgrade you within the next three (3) working days subject to your eligibility.
4. An SMS notification will be sent to you on the plan upgrade status. If the upgrade is successful, your Prepaid Plan will be upgraded to U Postpaid 38 Plan instantly upon receipt of the “successful upgrade” status.
5. You are required to update your personal information through the MyUMobile App in order to receive the first bill.
6. You are allowed to carry forward your Prepaid credit balance up to a maximum of RM150 to the new Plan. Any balance exceeding RM150 will be forfeited. Any remaining SMS, voice minutes, and data allowance will be forfeited and any content subscription services in your Prepaid account will be automatically terminated. Only your direct carrier billing (DCB) service subscription will be carried forward. The one (1) month Advance Access Fee is waived and will be reflected in your first bill.

1. Subscribers who complete the requirements above will receive an RM8 rebate for six (6) months as stated in the Notification.
2. The rebate will be credited to each unique subscriber (one entitlement per subscriber) one (1) month after the Campaign ends.
3. U Mobile will notify eligible subscribers of their entitlement via SMS (“Reward Notification”) or any other method deemed fit.
4. You must ensure that your U Postpaid 38 account remains Active and has no overdue during the Campaign Period. Subscribers who upgrade or downgrade their Postpaid Plan will no longer be eligible for subsequent rewards.
5. The reward is given on an “as is” basis. U Mobile reserves the right to substitute the reward with another reward of similar value without prior notice.
6. Subscribers must ensure that their Postpaid account is Active and has no overdue bill at the point of reward delivery or redemption.

1. By upgrading to a Postpaid Plan, subscribers agree to a minimum usage term of ninety (90) days which begins when the Postpaid customer changes from a SIM-only plan to the current selling plans. During this period, customers are not allowed to downgrade or change to Prepaid.
2. We reserve the right to modify or otherwise change these Terms and Conditions including terminating or suspending the Campaign. This overrides any requirement where we may have to give you notice in other parts of our agreement with you.
3. All upgrades and rebates are accepted entirely at the risk of the participants. To the extent permitted by law, U Mobile excludes all liability in connection with this Campaign. All participants and, if the participants are below eighteen (18) years of age, their parents or guardians agree to release U Mobile from and indemnify U Mobile against all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) or breach of any of these Terms and Conditions, whether direct or indirect, special or consequential, arising out of participation in this Campaign.
4. By participating in the Campaign, all participants:
   1. consent for U Mobile to collect, record, hold, store, use and disclose their personal information for purposes which are necessary or related to participation in the Campaign;
   2. consent for U Mobile to disclose or publish their personal information such as names, identities and any general information that U Mobile deems fit about the participants in any media, marketing or advertising materials; and
   3. grant U Mobile the absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and publish any still or moving images of the participants for any promotional, marketing, commercial or other related purpose, without any payment or compensation.
5. The subscription and use of U Mobile’s Prepaid and Postpaid mobile services are subject to U Mobile’s standard Prepaid and Postpaid Terms and Conditions and, where applicable, these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, U Mobile’s standard Prepaid and Postpaid Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
6. The Campaign and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The participants agree that the Courts of Malaysia shall have jurisdiction over all matters arising from this Campaign.
