Terms and Conditions for UMEC Sunway Square CNY Promo

1. The U Mobile Experience Centre (UMEC) Sunway Square CNY Promo (“Campaign”) is organized by U Mobile Sdn Bhd Registration No: 199101013657 (223969-U) (“U Mobile”) which will commence at 10:00 AM on 21 January 2026 and will end at 00:00 on 22 February 2026 (“Campaign Period”). This Campaign is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta Platform, LLC Inc.

2. All entries received before or after the Campaign Period will be automatically disqualified.

3. By participating in this Campaign, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions below (“Terms and Conditions”).

4. Campaign Eligibility

a. This Campaign is open to all new and existing U Mobile subscribers with personal Instagram and Facebook accounts.

b. U Mobile’s employees and their immediate family members are not allowed to participate in this Campaign.

c. U Mobile reserves the right to reject any entries or disqualify any participant without assigning any reason.

d. Participants who are below the age of 18 years old are deemed to have obtained the consent of their parents or guardians to participate in this Campaign.

5. Campaign Mechanics

a. This Campaign be hosted at U Mobile Experience Centre Sunway Square (“UMEC Sunway Square”) during Campaign Period.

b. To participate in this Campaign, you must:

i.  Snap a picture (“Photo”) of yourself with UMEC Sunway Square front store image as your background.

(A)  The Photo must be taken using a mobile phone.

(B)  Submission must be in the form of static image or video.

ii. Include the following hashtags: #UMobileSWS, @Umobile and @SunwaySquareMall together with the Photo you uploaded in the post caption (“Caption”). The Photo and Caption are collectively referred to as “Submission”.

iii. Share your Photo on your own personal Instagram or Facebook account and set your profile to public.

c. You warrant and represent that: -

i. Your Submission does not at any time infringe or violate any laws or any third party’s rights including but not limited to privacy rights, intellectual property rights, copyright, moral rights, trademarks or business name;

ii. Your Submission is original and has never been displayed or published in any media form, including but not limited to the internet, radio, video, television broadcast and has never been used or submitted in connection with any campaign held in Malaysia;

iii. Your Submission does not contain any unlawful, obscene, scandalous or inappropriate picture, gesture, statement or language or material of any kind including but not limited to words or symbols that might be considered offensive to individuals of any race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group, nor include threats to any person, place, business or group; and

iv. If your Submission contains audio or visuals, you must have the permission to use the audio and visuals of everyone featured in your Submission in any and all media without compensation.

d. You will defend, indemnify and keep U Mobile, its officers, directors and employees indemnified against all damages, claims or liabilities and expenses (including legal costs) arising out your Submission.

e. U Mobile may remove or disqualify any comments it deems inappropriate at its sole discretion.

f. When you complete the steps listed in paragraph 5(a) and (b) above, you will be deemed to be a participant of the Campaign. No entry form is required.

g. You may submit multiple Submissions throughout the Campaign Period but are only allowed to win once.

6. Prizes

a. At the end of the Campaign Period, U Mobile will evaluate your Submission based on most likes and shares, creative, appropriateness and any other criteria (“Criteria”) it deems fit.

b. The winner will be selected based on the Submission which fulfil all Criteria in order to win the prizes as specified in the following Table:

c. U Mobile will announce the Campaign winners’ names via U Mobile social media platforms on a 9 March 2026. U Mobile may use any other method or medium it deems fit to notify the winners.

d. The winners will be required to provide valid document and their contact details (i.e. name, identification number, contact number and email address) and proof of Instagram or Facebook posting to U Mobile for verification purposes during collection of the prizes. The winners will be required to provide their ID as proof of identification for verification purposes during the prize collection.

e. The winner must collect the prize at the time, date and venue to be notified by U Mobile to the winner. If the winner is unable to collect the prize on the date or venue specified, the winner may appoint a representative to collect on the winner’s behalf by producing a letter of authorization containing the representative’s details such as name, NRIC/passport number, contact number and email address. The winners must bear all the expenses relating to the collection of the prizes.

f. The prize is given on an “as is” basis The prizes are given on an "as is" basis and are not transferable or exchangeable for cash, in full or in part. U Mobile is not responsible for the merchantability of the prizes. U Mobile reserves the right to substitute the prize with that of similar value at any time without prior notice.

7. General

a. U Mobile’s decisions on any matter relating to this Campaign are final and binding on all participants. If any matters arise which are not covered in these Terms and Conditions, they will be determined solely by U Mobile.

b. U Mobile may change any of these Terms and Conditions including terminating or suspending this Campaign and extending the Campaign Period. Any such change will be announced on our website and social media. It is your responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions on our website and social media and if you do not agree to any of the changes, you must immediately cease participation in the Campaign.

c. All prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the participants. To the extent permitted by law, U Mobile excludes all liability in connection with this Campaign. All participants and if the participants are below 18 years of age, their parents or guardians, agree to release U Mobile from and indemnify U Mobile against all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, for loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) or breach of any of these Terms and Conditions; whether direct or indirect, special or consequential arising out of participation in this Campaign including your Submission.

d. By participating in the Campaign, all participants: -

i. consent for U Mobile to collect, record, hold, store, use and disclose their personal information for purposes which are necessary or related to the participation in the Campaign;

ii. consent for U Mobile to disclose or publish their personal information such as their names and identities and any general information that U Mobile sees fit about the participants in any media, marketing or advertising materials; and

iii. grant U Mobile the absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and publish any still or moving images of the participants for any promotional, marketing, commercial or other related purpose, without any payment or compensation.

e. Any consents, indemnities, agreement, undertakings, representations and warranties given under these Terms and Conditions by participants who are below the age of 18 years old are deemed to have been given by their parents or guardians.

f. The Campaign and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The participants agree that the Courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over all matters arising from this Campaign.
