General
a. WeChat Go is a Prepaid SIM pack that is specifically catered for tourists from China or any foreigners who are the users of the WeChat mobile app (“WeChat App”) when they travel to Malaysia.
b. The WeChat Go SIM plan is available to all U Mobile WeChat Go prepaid subscribers and provided according to the U Mobile Prepaid Terms and Conditions as supplemented by these WeChat Go SIM Plan Terms and Conditions. You must comply with those Terms and Conditions including the relevant service description and our Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Terms").
c. We reserve the right to modify or otherwise change the Terms including the charges and the benefits without notice to you. This overrides any requirement where we may have to give you notice in other parts of our agreement with you.
Benefits
a. There are 3 types of WeChat Go SIM plan (each a “Plan”):
- WeChat Go 2.5GB: This is valid for 7 days from the date of activation;
- WeChat Go 5GB: This is valid for 15 days from the date of activation; and
- WeChat Go 5GB + 1GB: This is valid for 15 days from the date of activation.
Your Plan will automatically expire at 11.59 p.m. on the date of expiry as shown above.

a. You are not allowed to extend the validity nor add benefits to any of the Plans. Any unused benefits will not be carried forward or exchanged for credits.
b. None of the benefits are transferable to any other person, entity or any another subscriber's prepaid account
c. The Plan cannot be combined with any other offers unless expressly stated
d. The Plan is available until withdrawn by us.
Registration and Activation
Registration
a. You are required to register your WeChat Go SIM card before activation via WeChat App. For registration, you need to scan the QR code found on the WeChat Go SIM pack and then proceed to register your Plan at the registration page of WeChat App;
b. You are advised to register your WeChat Go SIM card before your arrival in Malaysia; and
c. Once registered, you must activate your WeChat Go SIM card within 180 days from registration date. Upon the expiry of 180 days, you will not be able to activate or use the WeChat Go SIM card and no refund will be given.
Activation
a. Upon arrival in Malaysia, you have to dial *328*8# to activate your WeChat Go SIM card. For WeChat Go 5+1GB SIM Pack, you may also activate the SIM card when you are in Indonesia, Singapore or Thailand by dialling *328*8#.
b. Depending on the device that you use, you may need to restart your device after activation is successful before you are able to use our service.
High-Speed Data
a. High-speed data can only be utilized within Malaysia and cannot be used for internet roaming when you are outside Malaysia. Any data that is used outside Malaysia will be part of your roaming data allowance (if any) or chargeable based on the roaming rates imposed by current U Mobile roaming operators. Tethering is allowed.
b. Each Plan comes with different high-speed internet quotas depending on the Plan you select:
- For WeChat Go 2.5GB, you will receive 2.5GB of high speed internet; - For WeChat Go 5GB, you will receive 5GB of high speed internet; and - For WeChat Go 5GB + 1GB, you will receive 5GB of high speed internet.
Unlimited 3G Data (For WeChat Go 5+1GB SIM Plan only)
a. You will enjoy unlimited data at 256kbps as long as your account is active.
b. The unlimited 3G data can only be utilized within Malaysia and cannot be used for internet roaming when you are outside Malaysia. Any data that is used outside Malaysia will be part of your roaming data allowance. Tethering is allowed.
Roaming Data (For WeChat Go 5+1GB SIM Plan only)
a. Roaming data can only be utilized within Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. Tethering is allowed. Once the allocated quota is depleted, roaming data charges will apply for any further usage or if roaming data is used in countries other than Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, roaming data charges will also apply.
b. Roaming Data is not available for WeChat Go 2.5GB nor WeChat Go 5GB SIM Plans.
Unlimited Data for WeChat App
a. Tethering is not allowed.
b. The unlimited data for WeChat App can only be utilized within Malaysia and cannot be used for internet roaming when you are outside Malaysia. You will be charged based on the internet roaming rates imposed by current U Mobile roaming operators for internet roaming usage while roaming overseas.
Voice Calls
a. Each Plan comes with different free voice call minutes
b. The voice calls can only be utilized domestically (within Malaysia) and to make IDD calls to China
c. The voice calls are not allowed for roaming usage when you are outside Malaysia. You will be charged based on the voice roaming rates imposed by current U Mobile roaming operators for voice roaming usage while roaming overseas.
d. Calls received within Malaysia is free within the validity of the Plan.
SMS
a. For WeChat Go 2.5GB and WeChat Go 5GB Plans, you will be charged RM0.12 for each outgoing SMS to any mobile operators within Malaysia. Roaming rates will apply for any outgoing SMS from Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.
b. For WeChat Go 5+1GB SIM Pack, you can send and receive unlimited SMS to or from any mobile operators within Malaysia. Roaming rates will apply for any outgoing SMS from Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.
c. For all WeChat Go SIM Packs, you can receive SMS for free in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
Fair Usage
a. Use of our services whether for data or otherwise is subject to our Fair Usage Policy. If we determine that you are not using our service in accordance with the Terms or in excess of fair and reasonable usage, we reserve the right to manage your allocated bandwidth, free internet usage or the speed of your internet quota including suspending, restricting or terminating your access to our services without notice and liability to you.
