1. This U Mobile GoLife 10 Perlindungan Tenang RM75 Voucher Programme (“Programme”) is jointly organised by U Mobile Sdn Bhd (“U Mobile”) and Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Berhad (“SLMA”) which is an initiative by the Government of Malaysia to offer an incentive voucher worth RM75 to eligible recipients of Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (“BPR”) for the purchase of Perlindungan Tenang Insurance product.
2. This Programme commences at 08:00 on 01 January 2022 and ends at 23:59 on 31 December 2022 (“Programme Period”).
3. By participating in this Programme, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions below (“Terms and Conditions”).
4. Programme Eligibility
a. This Programme is open to selected Active U Mobile Prepaid or Postpaid subscribers who:
(i) have been confirmed as the recipient of BPR based on Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri’s latest records;
(ii) are Malaysian citizens or Permanent Residents between the ages of 21 to 49; and
(iii) are in good health condition.
“Active” means able to make and receive calls.
b. U Mobile or SLMA reserve the right to reject any application by any participant without assigning any reason.
5. Programme Mechanics
a. To participate in this Programme, you must opt-in to GoLife 10 (“GoLife 10”) during the Programme Period (“Opt-In”) via SMS or MyUMobile App.
b. You will receive a notification via SMS from U Mobile once you have successfully Opted-In (“Opt-In Notification”).
c. GoLife 10 is underwritten by SLMA and subject to the applicable terms and conditions imposed by SLMA which are available at http://u.com.my/golife. U Mobile makes no representations or warranties on GoLife 10.
d. Each eligible subscriber is only entitled to Opt-In once during the Programme Period.
6. RM 75 Incentive Voucher for GoLife 10
a. Participants who fulfil the requirement of paragraph 5 above will receive an incentive voucher worth RM75.00 (“Incentive Voucher”).
b. The Incentive Voucher automatically entitles the participants to receive GoLife 10 insurance coverage at no cost for a period of 8 months from the date of the participants’ receipt of the GoLife 10 insurance e-certificate from SLMA (“Incentive Period”).
c. The monthly premium payable for GoLife 10 is RM10 (“Premium”). However, during the Incentive Period, you will not be required to remit the Premium.
d. GoLife 10 will be automatically renewed on a monthly basis upon the expiry of the Incentive Period unless you opt-out by sending “STOP G10” via SMS to 28139 or contact U Mobile customer care at +6018-388 1318 (“Opt-Out”).
e. Before the expiry of the Incentive Period, you will receive an SMS notification from U Mobile advising you of the expiry date of the incentive Period and your Opt-Out option (“Programme Expiry Notification”).
f. If you do not Opt-Out before the date specified in the Programme Expiry Notification, your GoLife 10 subscription will be automatically renewed for the subsequent month and such subscription will be subject to the terms and conditions of U Mobile’s carrier billing for GoLife 10 made available at http://www.u.com.my/tnc.
g. The Premium charged will be reflected in your postpaid bill if you are a postpaid subscriber or deducted from your prepaid account if you are a prepaid subscriber.
a. U Mobile or SLMA may change any of these Terms and Conditions (including the terms and conditions applicable to GoLife 10) and may terminate, suspend this Programme or extend the Programme Period. Any such change will be announced on our website or the website of SLMA. It is your responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions on our website and the website of SLMA and if you do not agree to any of the changes, you must immediately cease participation in the Programme.
b. By participating in the Programme, all participants (and if the participants are below 18 years of age, their parents or guardians agree to the following as it relates to their child): -
(i) consent for U Mobile to collect, record, hold, store, use and disclose their personal information for purposes which are necessary or related to the participation in the Programme;
(ii) consent for U Mobile to disclose or publish their personal information such as their names and identities and any general information that U Mobile sees fit about the participants in any media, marketing or advertising materials;
(iii) grant U Mobile the absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and publish any still or moving images of the participants for any promotional, marketing, commercial or other related purpose, without any payment or compensation; and
(iv) agree that their personal information will be used by U Mobile and SLMA for the purpose of processing GoLife 10 application.
c. To the extent permitted by law, U Mobile excludes all liability in connection with this Programme. All participants and if the participants are below 18 years of age, their parents or guardians agree to release U Mobile from and indemnify U Mobile against all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, for loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) or breach of any of these Terms and Conditions; whether direct or indirect, special or consequential arising out of participation in this Programme.
d. The subscription and use of U Mobile’s Postpaid or Prepaid mobile services are subject to U Mobile’s standard Postpaid or Prepaid Terms and Condition and where applicable, these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, U Mobile’s standard Postpaid or Prepaid Terms and Conditions, as the case may be, will apply to the extent of such inconsistency.
e. The Programme and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The participants agree that the Courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over all matters arising from this Programme.
